I think he missed every spring training due to recovery from surgeries....tough sport to avoid injury if you play in the action zone. Might brag on him as a quick healer?

yeah, i look at DB, and see a better version of Charles Johnson. he'd be a good fit here. and DG loves some DL draft picks.

i still won't be mad if we did take fournette, it's just not what we do though. they have him slated there b/c Stewart's getting old, and apparently we have no faith in whitaker or the kid from Auburn. but you can get quality RB later.

if you go on need, i get slotting LF there, if you go on track record, i totally see a scenario where if he's there, that we could take him.

Mel's comments on DB are idiotic at BEST!

He says that he just doesn't know how DB will do against bigger OL in the NFL.....and wants to see how he will perform in the drills at the combine...:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Barnett has gotten it done at the highest level against the BEST OL in the NCAA in the SEC.....He performed at a superior level against ALL of 'em....and Garrett's stats aren't even close to Barnett's against SEC competition!

What more does DB have to prove? And why is ANYONE still listening to Kiper anyway?

Barnett won't last past #19. Tampa Bay is desperate for an impact defensive lineman. If he's there, Tampa Bay is all over him.

I would take him over the Garret guy any day . I dont really understand the fascination with the Garret guy the media acts like he is the best player in the draft. Guess we will find out come Sept . I think DB will be a Better pro.

Colts will draft defense heavy and early. Biggest need is d line...he would take drop past Indy

I agree, Garret shows up big time against week competition but disappears against equal competition.

Garret will be a bust. If he's drafted by the Browns it's all but guaranteed. DB has that dog, not so sure about Garret.

Would love to see Barnett on the Niners but they are such a sorry run organization it wouldn't surprise me if they traded the #2 pick for the rights to Derek Dooley. IMO Barnett is the 2nd coming of Dwight Freeney and a lot of teams are going to regret it if they pass on him.

This probably the only time I agree with D4H. MG may go first overall. DB should go between 15-20. Kamara-Sutton late 3rd early 4th.

I can see Derek doing realy well in the strength and Agility portions but he might not have a great 40 time. Doesn't matter he is still going to produce with the best of them. I wouldn't mind seeing him go later in the first round, hopefully, that way, he gets put on a good defense and produces early.

Question. why is Mel Kiper's opinion worth anything? I mean what has he done besides have a ridiculous hair cut and awful voice? What made him so special that he gets all this attention?

I've seen mocks that have Derek going to the Colts. But I'd love to see him in Dallas. Lord knows we need pass rushers.

D4H is actually a DB hater. He's higher on Garrett because of what his body looks like rather than his stats...
