I thought this was an interesting stat.

Statistics for SEC Games:
Derek Barnett:
18 games - 21 Sacks & 32.5 TFL.
Myles Garrett:
18 games - 11 Sacks & 17.0 TFL.

This season:
Barnett 23 tackles and 4 sacks (5 games)
Garrett 11 tackles and 3 sacks (4 games)

I think he's hurried the QB into 2 picks, 1 forced fumble, and a pass deflection

That is twice the production. It's crazy how some people actually percieve Garrett as "undoubtedly" superior to Barnett.

Honestly the hype on Garrett has gone through the roof. He is as good, maybe a bit better than Barnett at pass rushing, yet the media has spun Garrett as a world beater. And I didn't know the production has been so lopsided the last 18 games either. I think Barnett is the better overall defensive end. Guess we'll see at the draft what NFL scouts think about them.

Barnett in the second half this year is as good as we've ever seen a DE perform. If he could come out on fire from the opening kickoff, he'd be even more impressive.

Barnett is the all around better player but Garrett does have much higher potential in the NFL because of his speed. I will be interested in seeing how Barnetts combine goes because he can either sky rocket up from it . Or drop like crazy

Looks like we should run right at him.

Whenever Barnett has kicked it into gear he has been unblockable.

Sat out this past week with a "lower leg" injury, if what I understand is correct his injury is similar to that of Kirklands. We will find out this week but as of right now I don't see him playing Saturday.

Myles Garrett Injury: Updates on Texas A&M Star's Leg and Return | Bleacher Report

If Garrett remains on the sideline, Texas A&M's coaching staff will likely use a group of players to fill the void rather than placing the entire burden on a single lineman. Qualen Cunningham and Jarrett Johnson are likely to see the biggest increase in playing time opposite Daeshon Hall.

Ultimately, the Aggies will do their best to replicate Garrett's usual production, but they would sorely miss his presence along the defensive line if he misses more than one week.

I think that's the big difference between the two. Barnett commits to playing the run. Garrett is almost exclusively a pass rusher; he checks out on playing the run

Team of destiny ? No Del Rio , no Nick Chubb , no Myles Garrett .

Probably because Garrett is physically a freak much like Clowney. He's one of those players that when he decideserves to, can man handle an Oline. He has the measurables. Barnett has the motor and work ethic.
