Barnett to make decision after Bowl game

He's a first round lock. Would be a very bad business decision to come back

The same coulda been said for Peyton Manning after his Jr. year... not that I think Barnett is coming back, simply pointing out that's not the only factor in the decision...

If, and it's a big if, he did decide to return for a senior year...then it would probably be another 30 plus years before anyone could touch the records he would likely set. Have really enjoyed watching him. I'm selfish...hope he does like the GOAT did and never looks back on his decision. Come on back DB.

If he gets a sack in the bowl game, does that count towards the record books, or do bowl games not count?

I think this kid might actually love Tennessee enough to come back . even tho we as vol fans think he has done enough here and want him to get paid

This^

We'll miss him terribly on defense. Along with Dobbs, Kamara, Sutton, Malone? Of those, DB will be needed the most and the records he could set would be great for publicity /recruiting, not to mention how exciting for the fans. The leadership he would bring. Just so many SELFISH reasons he should return lol

I don't blame him if he goes.

But, as long as we're hoping and wishing, I hope he stays and remains healthy, and wins the Heisman, some real championships and goes #1 overall in the draft.

If I'm Butch, Shoop, Strip, Welton and anybody else associated with the program, I'm insisting that Barnett declare for the draft.

I heard the interview. He is going pro for sure.

He said some key things to make it pretty clear.

He said he is friends with Shy Tuttle and he respects Shy because it reminds him that an injury could happy at any moment. (aka it could happen his senior year and ruin his chance for millions)

Go make your money, young man.

As a Vol fan as much as I'd love to have him back it would be straight up nuts, given his projected draft status, to come back.

I was never a fan of leaving early until a few years ago. The money is here and gone. He needs to go and make the $$ unless he is just dead set on a college mission. I don't think at this point I would be that dedicated to UT.
