I've heard from a couple people that say their inside sources are saying Barnes is most likely done after this year. Wouldn't surprise me. He looks kinda worn out, out there.IMO, I can see Barnes hanging it up when Ziegler graduates.

I'm behind him whatever he chooses, just thought I'd mention that.
I really hope our strength and conditioning coach Garrett Medenwald sticks around if Barnes retires.I appreciate what Barnes has done for UT. It's been fun and UT has had a lot of success during his tenure. If stays great and if he retires great.
I just hope we don't take a former or current assistant of his for the next head coach. I would also like a guy more offensive minded
Look at Football and LV Basketball, DW knows high scoring brings in more fans.I appreciate what Barnes has done for UT. It's been fun and UT has had a lot of success during his tenure. If stays great and if he retires great.

What about these visits from the highly rated prospects? Would he stay in we land a few of them.I've heard from a couple people that say their inside sources are saying Barnes is most likely done after this year. Wouldn't surprise me. He looks kinda worn out, out there.

It's a tough spot for Barnes. He has to play ZZ a ton and it's going to take a physical toll. Sadly, we just can't function without him. At the same time, we can't recruit a highly ranked PG because they won't want to sit behind ZZ. So we grab a project type who we hope to develop, but early in his career, he's not ready for the SEC wars. Just another example of what this portal madness has done to the game. Suspect coaches who want to develop players will find the waters very rough going forward.Hate losing to KY, but not losing ZZ to another catastrophic knee injury keeps hope alive. The biggest goals for this season are still in play.
Spurrier used to say that God smiled on the Gators today. If ZZ gets a clean report today after evaluating the knee injury, God is smiling on the Vols today.
Now go kick the **** out of Florida 3 days from now.

It’s not going to be as simple as just “hire an offensive minded guy” and boom we’re scoring 90 a game though.Look at Football and LV Basketball, DW knows high scoring brings in more fans.
Bruce Pearl was winning from the beginning. With what they’re charging for season tickets, fans will not allow rebuilding to be an excuse. It’s not going to be as simple as just “hire an offensive minded guy” and boom we’re scoring 90 a game though.
We do not get talent here in men’s basketball nearly as easily as we do in football and women’s basketball. Those two sports are the cornerstone of the UT brand.
You can be great on a clipboard but you have to get dudes to win. That’s especially true with the depth of the SEC being at historic levels.
It’s going to be a major challenge for the next guy no matter who it is.
