That's a piss poor attitude! Lead by example!!!! The fans need to stay behind this team and let them know we have their backs! Unless your 6 years old...act like an adult and be the bigger person!!!:fool:

Expectations for this team have plummeted if we need 7 year-olds to be the bigger person.

I've never left a game early for any UT sport. I used to go regular to football games and I have had season tickets for the Lady Vols in years past. IMO, those young men and women need to see us in the stands at the end of the game. It does make a difference, maybe not that game but if we stick around then it will built their confidence that we believe in them and perhaps they will begin to believe in themselves.

A+++ She is right,but damn that was the most miserable Neyland experience in my 40+ years of support. The players should take something from that as well, the fans will support as long as they keep competing, quit competing and finish alone!!! Might end up a blessing,I didn't hear CDD complaining, helped him teach the team an important lesson.

The best example I can think of is the 98 game where Arkansas had the lead and the ball clock running out quickly. Fans poured outta the stadium like democrats outta a civic meeting when the money ran out. The fumble happened, Vols got the ball..Vols won. Thats an example where the fans gave up on the team.

After Sims tossed the pick 6 the team didnt IMHO give up, they were devestated. They had just started to believe they could compete against an offensive juggernaut. In hindsight a timeout shouldve been called asap by dooley and the whole team huddle up. He shouldve said yes it hurts...yes they will capitalize on it, and yes it will cost us but fight hard we've set a tone. Thes players watch the same sportscenter you do, they hear the talkin heads say they have no chance. It's up to coach Dooley and us the fanbase to encourage them to excell above their skill level and fight hard 60 minutes. Go Vols!!

I wonder if Babs was watching the UGA-Arky game. Did she see how many UGA fans were already heading down 316 and 78 at the start of the fourth quarter? They even mentioned at least 20K flooding out by then. I live along the path of the exodus and can say in venturing out around that time, I was watching scowls on the faces of the fans in red driving by.

Oh, Babs, it happens in Athens. And from the looks of the direction of this season, you'll have a chance to see this repeated frequently.

barbara dooley's team is uga. She hates UT in general and only acts like she likes UT because her little boy derek is getting millions from the athletic dept.

I agree with her on one point. Leaving the game while you're only trailing by 14 is ridiculous. Of course a lot of UT fans would leave in the 3rd if we down by 3. Her other comment about it never happening at Georgia sounds a little like rose colored glasses to me. What is the word you guys use "homer"?
