Barbara Dooley Taking Shots At The UT Fans.

I went to college to play QB, I understand what it takes. If you aren't a psychical freak, which Simms isn't then you have to be deadly accurate, anticipate your throws earlier, know the other team and their tendencies and be smarter than everyone else.

Give who his dad is and the resources available to him his entire life, if he hasn't gotten by now, it's likely he never will.

Bobby Petrino thought he was good enough, but unfortunately for Simms, he hasn't been able to stay in a program long enough to get in that type of work with the WR's and team.

I never said I was a better fan. Good grief people are taking this place WAY too seriously anymore. Dude, you used to cutup with us and have some fun and talk a little trash, now your just taking shots at people.

not taking shots at anyone except those with bad info passing it off as gospel

And Fulmer thought Joey Matthews was good enough, he clearly wasn't.

How pissed would everyone be if Kiffin's mom said we didn't stay the entire game like USC fans?

Bringing UGA in to this was not needed.

hey don't knock the vendors. :realmad: I was one when I was a kid so I could go see them play.

Ahhhh.... from that to a skybox, yacht and bass boats in tow.

The American Dream, may it rest in peace. :p

Knowing most of the people around here, they would agree with her, especially considering that there are still plenty of his apologists on this board.

See, now one of the things I have been most excited about watching this year, is whether Coach Chaney can work the Crompton miracle on Simms.

Both were staring down their primary receivers all the way, under-trowing or over-throwing them, etc. So I keep thinking that at some point, the worm is going to turn for Simms like it did for Crompton.

Now pardon me, my kool-aid glass needs refilling. :dance2:

Exactly. That is what makes me angry. If UGA is so great then stay the hell home and shut your big mouth, mother. Little Dooley needs to put a gag order on her. Unless he agrees with her...

Okay. It's time to schedule a VolNation scrimmage.

We can get together, knock the snot out of each other, get all of our bitterness, frustration and disappointment out of our system and then be ready to appreciate each other as fellow Vol fans again.

I would pay to see that...Volnation cage match. Of course if the true fans start getting their ass kicked I'm leaving early to beat the traffic.

That's a really good point. Matt has had a great opportunity to become a world-class QB and it hasn't happened yet. I'm still looking to see what he learns from the Oregon game - it was his first real challenge, right?

Wow, after her comments, I feel really bad about leaving with 4-5 minutes left in the debacle. Maybe if I had stayed and yelled for another few possessions, we could have mustered another field goal and it would have only been the second worse home loss in Neyland history.

I buy my tickets, I support the local economy, I cheer enough to be hoarse the next day, and I leave when I please...especially when the players give up long before I do.

that's what a UT education buys you these days. I should be on a recruiting poster

CD said he didn't like his mother talking to the media.... I now see why. She needs to keep her mouth shut.

VolNation scrimmage:

You take the team on the right if you: 1) sit, don't stand during the game or 2) didn't like the black jerseys or 3) think Dooley is going to do well at UT because of his supporting staff.

You take the team on the left if you: 1) stand and yell the whole game, 2) think they should wear the black jerseys more often or 3) think Dooley is not going to do well because of his previous head coaching record.

Sound like a fair split?

+1 and I also pay UT tuition.

Well said and I completely agree. However, it's a lot easier to blame a bunch of fans than it is to reemphasize what Dooley already said... and that is that the team quit on him. I guess she's just protecting her son by projecting on the fanbase?

Either way, she should shut her mouth.
