I have an extensive collection of antique military and police guns. It’s fun to shoot something from history and wonder if that gun could talk.

I have been playing with my Panzer BP 12 shotgun. I love shooting that thing but I am on the hunt for some 2 3/4" shells now. It will shoot the 3" shells but my 20 round and 10 round mags only shoot 2 3/4". I added a green laser with a built-in flashlight and I changed the top sights to a red dot. Anyone can grind meat with this thing now.

I’ve shot a crapload of Tula in 762.
Never tried their 223/556

I know those aren't pistol ammo, but how does the steel case cycle vs the brass. I got some .380 self defense with Stainless cases. Those cycled without incident. It wasn't cheap ammo though, or cheap steel.

Well 762 no problem but in AR 556 or 223 not good for me so far I got them at .50 a bullet . Now my gun was dry and first shots but it would not cycle I oiled down the bolt carrier and got brass and everything was fine.

You can do the same thing with a hand crimper. You can also use a roller on a drill and make your own slugs this way. I have no clue how the ballistics work out but it seems that lots of folks do this.

History lesson.
After WW2 the Spanish decided they needed a new semi automatic rifle. The Cetme was born. The problem was they could manufacture the **** out of barrels and stocks but the bolt and trigger was a bit more complicated. This left a large number of their army potentially unarmed. Fortunately someone looked in the Wearhouse and said. “Hey look at that, we have a bunch of Mauser 98 bolts laying around. Let’s stick those in there so the guys can get used to the new guns “.
And the FR8 FrankinMauser was born. I’ve been chasing this gun for years. I’m really excited to have it even though I’ve got work to do to get it back to correct.

This is a Chinese Guang dong in 7.92x57 (8MM Mauser)

This is a Fabria DeArmas Oviedo 1928 in 7MM Mauser. Sadly someone done a stock change before I got ahold of it.

This is a Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori 1901 in 6.5×55mm. Sadly someone Tapped it for a scope. If I am reading the disc right the U is for Utlåningsgevår that stands for Weapons that could be borrowed by civilian rifle organizations. I'm not sure on the FO22.
