I am the first to say I do not follow recruiting like a lot of you guys in this thread and I really appreciate the insight that you guys bring to the table.

With that said, Have you even seen a tighter group of kids in one class. These kids are hard selling the orange and white at every turn. I think it started with the legacy kids and spread like wild fire through the rest of the class. In my opinion if these kids continue to bond and grow together during the grind of a couple SEC season then look out come year 2 or three on campus for them.

Butch has sold these young men on the future and they are doing a great deal of recruiting for him. He is one hell of a salesman and hopefully once he has his guys they will turn this ship around.

Go Vols!!!!

I just hope the recruits know more about the the number of players we can sign, grey shirts etc. It would bother me a little if I had committed and had to sit around hoping I wasn't asked to go somewhere else late in the year.

This class will be long remembered as the one who brought Tennessee back. All the more reason I hope it sticks together.

Due to attrition in previous classes, I think we have 32 scholly's... 2-3 will grey shirt from current commits (paulk's injury, Barnett on grades I hear, and possibly Dews) and 2-3 will switch schools happens to every team, its a long way to Feb!! In Butch we trust!!

The 2-3 who will switch schools, I'm waiting to see if it happens. Yes, it happens most years and to just about every team. IMO this class is proving to be different. We'll see how it plays out.

Only one player that I know is fully committed on paper is Blair, he signed his financial papers this past weekend

I don't recall seeing anything about Barnett having grade issues? Where did that come from?

You MUST be referring to Gavin Bryant. Derek Barnett goes to Brentwood Academy, a very fine school. And even if that's who you meant, he wouldn't be a greyshirt.

Nice, didn't know these guys filed! Thats awesome, I wonder with Hurd's injury if he might be a grey-shirt as well...

His injury is healed...he's a starting running back next year...easy on the greyshirt craziness people!

Maybe Bryant, I saw... either way it was just a hypothetical gray-shirt post people calm down! We know some will G/S unless they chose to go elsewhere

My one and only concern with this incoming class is whether Hurds' shoulder will hold up in the SEC. Hopefully it will, but he's had problems with it and you know it's going to get tested often in SEC play. Other then that I love everything Butch is doing on the recruiting trail and I don't care how many he signs we need help on D.
