Bammers think were scared

I forgot maybe y'all can help me. Who won the game last year between Bama and UT?
Alabama did. Since you're struggling with your memory, I'm sure you don't recall our playing in the SECCG, your most humiliating and embarrassing defeat at the hands of ULM, and an absolutely pathetic victory over Colorado in the cess pool bowl.

If you need more memory help, please don't hesitate to ask.

17-41 might help to jog your memory, then. All these posts about ULM, Independence Bowl, 10 of last 13, etc, might make all of you feel better, but reality is that things have changed dramatically in this rivalry over the past year, due to one man. Saban has a documented track record at LSU, and it should be obvious to all that this class represents the first big step toward the same pattern at Bama. It is what it is, and if the pattern continues to play out, they will get back to the top very quickly. What UT must do is answer.

Sorry to interupt....now back to the entertainment.

1. Saban had a documented track record at LSU of winning a national championship largely with Gerry DiNardo's recruits. He has a documented track record of being good, but not great, throughout the remainder of his coaching career, including at LSU after the national championship.
Another note...one can throw out Fulmer's first six and a half seasons at UT--the Shuler and Manning era teams and the national championship team--and he still compares evenly with Saban. Since 1999, Saban is 64-24 as a head coach (college years only), and Fulmer is 80-34. And that's using a standard that's biased in favor of your guy as much as can be. I only counted his last year at Michigan State, where he had all his recruits.

2. Saban is the first competent coach to coach at Alabama since Stallings left. Given the resources devoted to the Alabama program, a competent coach is obviously going to restore them to relevance. We expect it to happen. Even an bumbler like Mal Moore wasn't going to hire idiots forever. Enjoy it.

3. The 41-17 game was a combination of Alabama playing very well and Tennessee playing very poorly on the same given day. Every team has at least one bad day during the season. You hope the bad day comes when it doesn't matter. Otherwise you might get blown out by an arch-rival or embarrassed by a directional Louisiana school. It happened. I'm sure every Bammer loved it. But Tennessee moved on from it and went on to have a very good season. Alabama packed it in, and didn't win again until it got to play a bad Big 12 team in the Weedeater Bowl.

I forgot, maybe you can help me out. What's the series record between our two teams for the past dozen or so years?

I actually don't know the answer to this. When was AL's last visit to Atlanta in December?

Uh, no. By a coach's fourth year at a school, he pretty much has his own guys.

34-7 Bama. When was the last time y'all won the SEC?
the year prior, along with a NC. Nonetheless, the fact that you've won more recently than we have, yet changed coaches 213 times, validates everything I've ever said about Fulmer.

i forgot who lost to ul-monroe? i know it wasn't ut.

:dance2:

Yup we did lose to ULM, but we also beat y'all down. So stay on the high horse of Bama got beat by ULM, but remember y'all couldn't score a point in the second half against that same Bama team.

I concede that you dusted us and it was a great game for you, but there is nothing you can say that will dress up a loss to ULM. Saban and the boys deserve any ridicule anyone could heap upon them. In fact, had Mich not lost to Appy State, your little doozy would have been worst loss of the year, maybe even the decade.
