Bammers Looking Ahead

Articles are reports on events or facts. Columns are opinion pieces.

But in this case there is no difference, since you aren't capable of reading either.

Way to recycle the same joke I used on you earlier. Idiot.

Go. Away.

Still was a Saban-led team and that was your argument. If you want to change it to "great teams don't look ahead," then your defense would then make sense because that's what you're trying to use as evidence.

Mike Shula's players, and culture...and a week after barely losing to LSU.

I've been in Tuscaloosa for the last few days leading up to Saturday. It has virtually been dead quiet around here regarding anything about the Tennessee game. Talking to fans on the Strip, around town, the local media and every sportstalk show on the radio is hyping the LSU game and that is what all of the talk is around here. This is no exaggeration--it's strange but I hope it comes back to bite them.

I would love for nothing more than for the Bammers to not talk about Tennessee all week but them be forced to talk about them for the rest of the year when Tennessee ruins their title hopes.

Keep overlooking this Tennessee team. V,B.

They are good enough to overlook us....We'll be lucky to score on that team.

Alabama will dominate up front. As much as I hate it the game won't even be close. I expect Simms to spend a lot of time on the ground

If I was them, I'd overlook us, too. We haven't done anything to merit any respect from the SEC upper tier. We couldn't even manage to beat a Georgia team that, while definitely talented, isn't particularly good. That was our chance to get it going officially, and we pulled the typical Tennessee Two-Step right into the gutter. Embarrassing stuff, to be quite honest.

In any event, let them overlook us and hopefully our boys will find a way to win. Stranger things have happened. This team is going to get better and when we have all our horses back, we should be knocking on the door. However, until these coaches and these players find a way to actually do something on the field when it counts most, we'll remain the SEC equivalent of Cubs fans ... "wait till next year!"

To the OP.

LSU and Bama is the game of the year. (including the NC) UT is a step above Vandy right now, you can't beat UT/Bama over time. Right now its just not a "big" game. Its a game UT should lose.

As to looking ahead. The fans can afford to do that, they have no direct influence on who wins. The players are caught in the middle. Saban is beating it in their head that they have a game against a team that can't ruin their season, the fans on the street are telling the players how good they are and how LSU is the game of the year. Im sure Saban wishes everybody on the outside would just shut up.

Either way, no reason Bama loses.

The Medo-Persians slowly creeped into the mighty city of Babylon unexpected like a theif in the night while the babylonian people were living it up on the inside. Before they knew it, they were slaughtered and over thrown!! GO VOLS!!

I like this rivalry as much/more than any we have. I just plain old hate Auburn. They're like lap dogs, gnats in your eyes, or flies in a sore. No real threat, but annoying to the nth degree. Now they got a NC and think they're on the same level with BAMA. No way, never! DIE AUBARN!!!!!!:rock::rock::rock:

Bama fans will but the sabans players wont. When I was in bama 2yrs ago. All the bama fans would talk about auburn game. Iron bowl this and iron bowl that.

I think if you watch Sabans press conference this week where is slipped with the "S" word, I do not think he is or his team is over looking UT.

If Tennessee wasn't a MASH unit right now, you'd be hearing more talk. And I promise you the coaches and players aren't thinking about LSU.

Exactly..They are not looking ahead. Plus they have a week off before LSU..I'm sure they are confident, I would be if I was them. They can beat us as bad as they want.

Lady at McDonalds is saying Roll Tide each time she gives people their food.

Disgusting. I almost threw my McRib back at her.

So you've decided that, rather than attend the game, you'd rather spend an entire day crapping your brains out?

they can overlook us all they want....it won't make a difference. they will be preparing for lsu and they still will beat us. Maybe if Bray and Hunter were healthy we mite have a small chance, but not with the team we have now. matt simms makes me want to throw up! god we suck this year
