Bama's very beatable

That's true but Alabama hasn't faced a team that fights, scratch and claws till the bitter end either.

This, more than anything, worries me about this game. Tennessee is simply never out of it. Against any other team, if Bama gets up by 3 scores that game is over. But that's not true with Tennessee. The character that the Vols seem to show every week is incredibly impressive.

I'm not disagreeing with you but the qb can't get them the ball if Barnett and company have him on his back. :)

That's a pretty big "if" IMO. Hope we can get a push up the middle too to keep him from running away from the edge pressure that Barnett and Vereen are very likely to provide.

"Very beatable"?? No.

We're gonna have to play a near flawless, sound, fundamental game, AND get some breaks to pull this upset.

No offense, but there's a lot wrong with your reasoning here. Ridley, Stewart, Howard and even Dieter are as good a receiving corps as there is in the country.

Is it just me or do you hype up the opposing team no matter who it is? Ridley and Stewart aren't good in contested catches situations. They're not the best in the country.... That belongs to Clemson.

Howard is very inconsistent too

Did you skip the last 5 minutes of last year's game?

5 minutes of 1 game means they are good in those situations? 😂😂😂 They both have caught 2 this year in over 8 tries. That's awful. Last year Ridley had the worst catch % among guys with 20+ tries in contested catch situations.

I'm not sure who determines if a catch was contested or what criteria he uses, but I have absolutely no problem with how Ridley and Stewart have done. If all but 2 of their catches have come "uncontested", then I can only guess they are two of the best in the country at getting open.

CFB film room. By far the best breakdown in depth stats for college football.

That doesn't mean that at all😂 Half of Bama's passes are bubble screens, quick screens and quick passes😂 artavis Scott for Clemson has 1 contested catch on 3 chances. So I guess he's better at getting open than both ur WR's? Great logic

Did you copy n paste those first two paragraphs from the preflorida thread? Wasn't true then...

A&M grad here .....

I don't have permission to start a new thread on this forum, so I decided to just put this post here.

Last Saturday's game between the Aggies and Volunteers was an instant SEC classic.
Both teams gave everything they had, and the Vols showed why they are a Top 10 team.

I met MANY Tennessee fans at the game and every single one of them were awesome.
I can tell you that every Aggie was glad to have y'all as our guests.

Tennessee is a first class university, football team, and fan base.
I hope the Vols beat the hell outta Alabama in Knoxville on Saturday!!!!!!

Gig Em & Go Vols!

It beat us last year. The rest is irrelevant to me.

I would say he must be pretty darn good at getting open if only 1 of his 23 receptions was "contested".

No, what I actually try to do is discuss our opponents in realistic terms. Ridley and Stewart are the two best offensive playmakers on the best team in the country. Both those guys are dynamic and dangerous and just discounting them is ignorant IMO.

They essentially made the offensive plays, on CONTESTED CATCHES vs Sutton and Martin last year on the drive that led to them winning the game.

I can tell you this, I sure as hell didn't hype up anybody from App State, VaTech or Ohio. Georgia, Florida, TAM and certainly Bama all have players who deserve respect and "hype" if we're gonna honestly discuss our opponent rather than blindly keeping the orange shades on and just saying they suck and "we gon whip dey ass".

Tennessee will put them to the test.

Putting them "to the test" is a bit different than saying they're "very beatable". They can be beaten if we play good, sound disciplined football. But Alabama, of all teams in college football, is not "very beatable".

You also acted like Florida was unbeatable and we has no chance, I'm not the only one who saw that.

I never once said they were bad or "we gone whip dey azz"😂 now you're trying to put words in my mouth. You said they were among the best WR corps in football, I pointed out they are very bad in contested catches situations. To be the best you have to be good at everything. And I never discounted them at all. You get way too defensive over someone pointing out a single flaw in an opposing team

If you think Kmac, Todd Kelly, Nigel warrior, Barnett are going to let Alabama or any other team come to their house, Neyland stadium, and beat them there, you're out of you damn mind.

We are just as good as Alabama. We just have to play 4 quarters.

Is their D as good as Florida's? Nope and look what we did to them.

Is their offense as explosive as AM's? Nope. Our defense locked them up when not playing on a short field.

We play a full game and we win. The days of needing to be perfect and catch breaks are over. This team is stupid good. We just need to play like it for once.

Bama has the best front 7 in the nation, and it's not really close.
