Steve Emsminger (former AU OC)...his wife was on sports talk 93.9 yesterday and accused Saban flat out of paying players. Finebaum replayed it several times on his show.

Just don't throw stones if you live in a glass house. Not saying I know anything about what goes on, but I have a pretty funny story about a bball player that got the boot last year and his future endeavors at another school close to me.

talked with some very influential LSU boosters via my brother in law when Saban was hired and they said within 3-4 years he would have bammer on probation because the things he did at LSU to recruit would never be overlooked at bama....said he was as shady as the day is long and paid all the big players.
just rumor but came from 2 multi million dollar donors to LSU .....could be sour grapes but.........

That just adds to Emsminger's wife accusing Saban on the radio yesterday of payola...She and Steve are from Louisiana.

Every school offers incentives - even the beloved University of Tennessee.

If he is caught then so be it. But it takes a whole lot to be caught.

Wonder how many big time boosters around the country own car dealerships? As long as there is some kind of a payment set up the ncaa cannot do a thing about it. Might not be happening quite as much now that the car companies are tanking.

I think its sad that THIS is what Vol fans have resorted to. Your biggest hope for stopping Alabama in the future is rumors of illegal recruiting? I bet you're the same guy who doesn't buy gas on thursdays because of that email you got and thats why you think gas prices have gone down. Good luck with those millions of dollars you'll be getting fromthe ex-Nigerian prince, by the way.

Keep praying for Alabama to get on probation. It's your only hope to stop the beating you're going to get from Alabama for the next decade.

My only point is this....your basis of defense holds as much credibility as the basis of the accusations.

Everything is speculation....the accusation and your defense.

However, all schools may have employed unethical practices at one point or another, but Bama has a history of obvious cheating and then blaming others.

So anything Bama does is under more intense scrutiny. Rightly deserved

Deal with it and get your panties out of a wad.

You may very well be right with this post but please don't act as if any allegations brought to light are false just because the shoe hasn't dropped yet. As we all know USC has had the cloud hanging over it's head for some time. I don't know whether or not this allegation is valid, it will take time for us to find out. As the poster you quoted said, "we will see".

And this is the only defense you have?? What was Saban's NFL record? He SUCKED. It seems to be working for you this year though. (although it is a bit skewed due to the SEC-West being pretty lousy this year)

Bammers are the biggest Douche-Bags (in general).
