I haven’t moved the goal posts. They’re two separate ideas. You’re seeing double if you’re that easily confused.
Especially in this day of NIL transfersIt’s a very good reminder that the coach is pretty much everything in determining a program’s success. One should expect that anyone could have taken over Nick Saban’s roster and won 10 games for a couple of years. However, very few coaches can build a championship caliber team around a young QB the way Saban did with Tua and Young.
I said that he did one thing and it was overblown. He was a sensation at the right time and that is the only reason he landed the best job in the country. Washington was a playoff team before Deboer took over. He happened to have one good run with a 5th year QB and the PAC 12 folded right afterwards because they couldn’t get a TV deal. He won a lousy conference and Nick Saban happened to retire while he had nothing returning at Washington. He got lucky and any other year would not have been a candidate for Saban’s replacement.I told you it was a joke to claim he’s done nothing. You responded that he will never be Saban. You intentionally changed the standard to an absurd level. I never stated he would be Saban.
I simply stated it was dumb to claim he’s done nothing. It is. It’s insanely stupid to claim that.
