Bama Roll Call

As I said, this is still a capitalistic society. Since I have money tied up in them, I am looking for a profit...I'll entertain an offer for them, but I would expect that a true fan, such as yourself, would be willing to pay a good bit for them...Let me know what you are willing to pay, and I'll let you know if the number hits my investment mark...simple as that. But, fyi...It's gonna be above face value...or I can donate to charity and make out better.

thx.

Nope.. Bought two tickets for my dad for his birthday.. He called me and told me he no longer wanted to go.. To far to travel to watch them get disgraced...

Not selling them either.. A banner will buy them.. They will remain empty

Give them away before you let the seats be empty. To a Vol fan of course.

I will be there, win or lose im there for my team. I know we will get killed. But it would be a disgrace to have a road game at home

I'm serious about buying them, but I'm not even gonna bother to throw out a number when I have no idea what I'm offering on. If you want to be arrogant, that's fine, I'd rather not "bail" you out on your investment.

Still waiting on the info on the tix. Not throwing out a number on tickets I know nothing about.

Here's the kicker, I'm not an alumni. Does that mean I can't be a VFL now?

VFL...Maybe...we'll see after a few years....look...this is not a knock on "VFL" or trying to define a "true Vol fan". I have had my tix since 89 (and have gone to the games much longer)...and I'm keeping them...but think...if the performance of this group is so bad that it makes people feel this way...it is time for a change. Period.

So...if you feel you are a better "VFL" than I, then please make a substantial offer on my tickets for the Bama game...it's in your court. I do plan on going, and have more than face value in them...so that is what I expect. I will be glad to entertain your offer. If you aren't willing to pay full price plus extra (that I have invested), then go buy from a scalper...they will be cheap.

JP...I appreciate where you are. Bottom line, I AM a VFL and most likely will be going to the game ... or will be giving to my daughter who graduated from UT to use. I don't appreciate being somewhat lectured to regarding being a fan, as I have been a fan since 67.

However, this team seems to be able to bring out the worst in me (as well as most Vol fans, I assume) because of their poor execution and performance...which is the fault of both coaches and players. I would be more than happy to sell you my tickets, but as you said, you would not like to pick up the cost of my investment. I, on the other hand, am not willing to just throw it away, as well.

So, unless you are willing to assume the entire investment, then scalping would be your best option.

Friendly advice, though, be careful throwing out the "not a true fan" language.

I didn't lecture you on anything, and I didn't say you weren't a VFL, I was referring to everyone saying they are done. You said you were done too, so I take no fault there. But if it hurt your feelings, I apologize, it was only a little sarcasm I'm poking.
I'm awfully sore from these three loses, and yes, like you, I'm very upset with the coaches and players alike.

But, as a full time college student who works part-time in a factory, I normally don't get the chance to go to games very often. When I do though, it is a 4 hour drive for me and very costly. Maybe you will understand why I don't want to throw out a number then. Thank you for an opportunity to offer on your tickets though, but no thanks. I think I will save my money so I can buy season tickets next year.

I'll be there showing my support for my team and my university - even if I'm not satisfied with status of the program. At this point, I feel like that's all I have left.

Got off work for it. As embarrassingly bad as we are, it's still Tennessee/Alabama and my favorite game of the year.

Of course we'll be there!!!!! PS.. To those UT fans that give or sale your tickets to an Alabama fan, you should be ashamed.. people complain about how much crimson will be in OUR NEYLAND, it's UT fans selling out.. loathe an L but would rather burn our tickets than give to the enemy...

GO VOLS
GO BIG ORANGE......

JP...appreciate where you're at, and hope you get through school and are able to be successful and get those tix...I did the same as you, so I know how hard it is to get through. But that's also what makes this type of play so hard to take. The fans invest alot of themselves into this program, and it takes sacrifice. To see what we put out on the field...it's ridiculous.

No hurt feelings, was just pi..ed off.

Yeah, I agree. I was a little irritated with so many jumping ship, typical, but also for the better IMO, weeds out the baddies. Maybe it's just the sour taste in my mouth from these past three loses, but this year has just been a terrible year as a sports fan in general for me and I have a hard time watching people talk bad about all the teams I love.
If you or your daughter go to the game I hope you all aren't swept up by crimson tide like the weathermen are forecasting. GBO!!!

JP...amazing how calmer most are after a day. I will say, if neither me and my son go to a game, and my daughter can't go...would be glad to give you a decent deal on my tix. Have two in PP, with cushioned seats/backs (lower part of PP). Not lower level, but good seats nonetheless.

Tired and frustrated with getting used to losing, but Go Vols regardless.

Got good tickets. Only game I'm going to this year. What a mistake.

Don't feel bad, one of the guys I work with down here is a big Auburn fan and he finally broke down and bought season tickets for him and his wife this year. I almost feel sorry for him...:)

Very true. I always look forward to the day when we will be relevant again though, it will happen, but I have to tell myself to have patience. Although, last night it was very hard to do. I always look back at the games I've been to, and only one being a lose, to alabama, it always reminds me why I will always bleed orange.

I appreciate the offer, but I think I will probably hold out this rest of this year, my brother has never seen UT play at Neyland and I really want my next game to be with him, not to mention work probably won't allow me to go now. He has the orange fever too and we got to see the NCSU game, but unfortunately he lives out of state.

I assure some of you i'm more dissappointed in some of yall. Alot of post refered to bandwagon bama fans, seems we've got some too, different bandwagon.I will be there. Got a six hour drive, but I wouldn't miss cheering for the Vols. How about you not going whiney vols do everyone a favor, stop posting your garbage until the team meets your approval.

When it comes down to it, it sucks that we'll more than likely see a lopsided game, but you can't trade the traditions that we get to see every home game for anything. For that I'll be excited.
