I want to be extremely cautious in what I say as to not jinx us, but us and Bama seem to be trending in opposite directions and I know Zyan Gibson and Jorden Edmonds were both players we were significant players for. What’s the likelihood of us flipping one of them? Because if we could pull that off we finish with a top 5 class

in reviewing the Navy AA game uncommitted list. Bammer is still in on just about every recruit. One game isnt going to change recruits minds.

I thought when they hired Deboer he was going to have to flip the roster; and that def seems the case.

We may flip the DT, but I def wouldnt think we will build our house on flipping Bama recruits. Id say the bulk if time will come in keeping this class together, finding a RB, a DT, and maybe another DE....maybe. Prob not.

Id say 27 class will get a lot of love.

In the age of NIL I doubt many flip if unless the money changes.

Cash talks nowadays. Of course if other teams were offering similar money then things will get interesting for Alabama.

We’ve flipped 3 commits from other SEC schools in the last couple weeks. 2 of those being top 100 players nationally including the #1 WR in the class.

AP didn't make it sound like we were going to circle back on the top kids committed to Bama last night (he explicity stated that was the case for Zyan Gibson.) Obviously that could change if one were to reach out to us though.

My thoughts are we have 25 commits already, and our NIL has probably been dispersed pretty heavily this class with the No. 1 QB and WR as well as multiple other top 100 players.

You still need money for roster retention and the portal next off-season too so my guess is that any other additions are more likely to be cost effective guys like Lincoln Watkins, JJ Finch, etc.

Very true. But if they lose to Vandy again, all bets are off. The vultures will pick that carcass, and we should be one of those vultures. Lord knows, we've been on the opposite end of that, and it was not fun.

This, plus add in some PWO’s from local schools if any players have breakout senior seasons a la Deshaun bishop

Why are yall so sensitive about money? Its like how men with money want women to like them for them rather than their money.

Cash rules this world. Whether you like it or not.

Cash rules the world but not every single person is motivated by money.

That has nothing to do with whether or not Keys and Harris had that as motivation #1.

/thread. The chance is .001% until reported otherwise about any specific player. In fact, one outlet even quoted various Alabama commits as saying the on-field performance doesn’t impact their commitment, so there you have it.

As much as I would love it to happen, the coaches and players seem ok with 8-4.

Anyone got more upset fan quotes?

Dang, we beat some incredible odds for Blair, Keys, and Harris. Those still talking to other staffs are in play till the ink is dry, THEN comes the portal.

This is true (for keys and Harris - Blair was a given as soon as uscjr went all in on gray), but so far we have no indication that any of the bama commits are talking to us or that we’re trying to talk to them. I’m all for causing rumors that their class is falling apart, but I don’t expect one bad game from them means anything in regards to our recruitment of their players, and not gonna suspect as much only to be disappointed when we don’t flip any just because their threads were bumped for no reason other than bammer sucks. We got a great class, hit nearly every position group, think it’s pretty much set. If any of those five stars want in last minute for less money I’m for it, but not getting any hopes up.

IF we are still recruiting any of those commits, it will come out. Otherwise nothing to see here.

Also, I hope we’re not recruiting zyan gibson. Kid tooled us multiple times. Mark my words he’ll play at 3 different schools before his college career is over. Griffin/finch/edmonds/edwards are the only players I’d get hype about hearing anything about, and not getting my hopes up.

What were we gonna give Hiter? A membership in the Jelly of the Month club?

None of us truly know the money/NIL situation. I hope we have a good chunk still sitting there if an opportunity for another elite player comes up but I have no idea.

I do find it more than a coincidence though that once we missed on Hiter we managed to flip Blair, Keys and Harris all within a matter of weeks. Hard to believe some of the money set aside for him wasn't allocated to those guys.
