Bama ranked #1 in AP!

Bama deserves it. Florida looks very beatable (too bad no one can actually beat them though)

And for those of you who said we could not be ranked if we beat BAMA due to our three losses already... Well look at #25 in the AP poll. If we were to beat BAMA, we would definitely have better wins to show for.

I think this would qualify as a "signature win" for Lane. Talk about a huge opportunity....

False, we did not receive any votes, kinda hard to jump over teams that are close to getting in. If we did beat Bama we would receive some votes but not crack the top 25.

Bama being ranked #1 is bad news for us, that just gave them more incentive to play harder.

I do think Bama is the best team but I think we match up better against them then we did against Florida

That also gives us that much more motivation. The pressure is on Bama, not us.

Such a defeatist attitude. You do realize they weren't going to roll over for us at #2, right?

It gives us more incentive as well.

I think the coaches will see this as an opportunity. Basically that it's our time to show everyone who we are and that UT will not lay down for anyone reguardless of the other team's ranking. This will be the second #1 ranked team we will have played this year on the road. Talk about a tough first year as a HC.

I am as big a UT fan as there is anywhere and I try to be as optimistic as possible but there is a HUGE difference between playing UGA at Neyland and playing Alabama at their place. As much as I would love to beat them we just aren't anywhere close to their level yet. I am afraid "some" UT fans are going to consider this weekend a step back if we get our butts handed to us. Regardless of what happens this weekend it doesn't change the direction were headed. Realistically we are at least 2-3 years away from being where Bama is but on the flip side on any given Saturday anything can happen. GO VOLS!!!

How can they still be ranked No. 3 in coaches poll. Just stupid.

And how in the world is 3-3 Oklahoma still ranked at No. 25????
