It's time to flush that crimson tUrd down the toilet!

We are Tennessee and we are on our way back up the mountain!

Anything can happen on any given game day.

You doubt that, ask the Memphis Tigers.

VFL...GBO!!!

I don't gamble. If I did I'd give the points. Alabama defense looks better to me than in the past few years. Their passing game is suspect. I'd stack the box and make Coker beat me. Bama turns the ball over a lot and their special teams suck. Vols have a chance if we play our best and Alblabama turns the ball over.

so you'd take the points and bet with UT, or give the points and take bama?

I thought UGA was overrated and that we would probably win that game. I honestly think Alabama is underrated, and we very well may be in for a complete beatdown. The key to remember is, it's just one game. VN should not lose their collective minds over one game-good or bad.

agreed, unfortunately

Man, they look really good. I am impressed at how good they look on the road as well. Tough tough game

This is no indictment of Butch Jones. It's just based on the catche Alabama has built up over the last 7 years.

So many of you feel the need to minimize and lower expectations. Year 3, 14.5 point dogs anywhere and against anyone is NOT what UT fans have been sold by Butch. Hell, UT was a preseason favorite in the SEC east in many places, but 7 weeks later they're 14.5 point dogs.

If everything else concerning UA vs UT was even, here's how I see the differences.

Saban vs Jones: + 7 points for Alabama

Kiffin vs Deboard: + 7 points for Alabama

Alabama DL vs Vols OL: + 4 for Alabama.

Alabama (or anybody's) WRs vs Vols secondary: + 10 points for Alabama

Homefield advantage: + 3 points for Alabama

Doing the math, that comes to Bama by 31.

So I think 14.5 is not big a enough spread.

But I am still pulling for the Vols

If you look at it this way, Alabama only beat Texas A&M because Kyle Allen threw 3 "Pick 6s" by overthrowing wide open WRs. In reality, their offense only put up 20 points. Texas A&M's Defense is no more than a Big 12 Defense. If we stack the box, and force Jake Coker to throw like we did UGA's QB I think we have a great chance at winning. We also need to take care of the ball. We need to run Dobbs at least 15 times and Hurd has to go over 100 with 2 TDs.

Alabama is going to target #12/#13 in the passing game and throw for 300+ yards.

Holy arbitrary selection of facets of the game, Batman!

SEC starting to pile up losses.. Since Bama is still in the mix nationally wonder if we get those special refs for the game. I don't think Bama will need them , but they might be there just in case.

There is a possibility that Bama comes out flat though, been a tough stretch for them. We have had some time to heal up and are coming off a huge win as well. Might be a close game until the 4th

It's amazing what can happen when a staff can identify a primary go to receiver instead of rotating 6-8 guys with no definitive game plan for getting them the ball.
One of my many issues with this offense. Too many personnel groupings. Hard to get in any kind of rhythm run guys in and out every play or two.

Texas A&M is an SEC defense with Chavis calling the plays and top recruiting classes over the past 2 years. but hey let's keep pretending that they are nothing but a big 12 team (like that a bad thing considering some of the countries top teams are big 12)

Kamara needs a healthy dose of carries as well, im sure he has some emotions towards bama. It would be nice if he scored a couple on the tide. Can we please get the ball in Evan's hands more too? That dude is a baller....

i'd take bama +14.5 if i were a betting man. if the line comes down, even better.

i'm hoping for a lot here. but my head won't get out of the way. will struggle to stop them.

i siap, but i think with the bye week, where we are in the season...i think if i'm CBJ, this is the week i throw it all out the window. we have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

on sides kicks, fake kicks, go for two, end arounds, double pass, jump pass....whatever,....screw it...go for it. that should be the mantra this week.

we should definitely be the looser team here. no excuse not to be, there is zero pressure on Tennessee.
