I don't gamble. If I did I'd give the points. Alabama defense looks better to me than in the past few years. Their passing game is suspect. I'd stack the box and make Coker beat me. Bama turns the ball over a lot and their special teams suck. Vols have a chance if we play our best and Alblabama turns the ball over.

I think Hart needs to stand outside the stadium and give hundred dollar bills to each fan that makes that trip. You got faith to make that long drive from about anywhere considering Tuscaloosa geographically is in the middle of nowhere.

I expect it to come down some by kickoff. I don't expect victory but I do believe we keep it within one score.

You can bet we will travel well. We have the chance to upset them in at least 5 or 6 years imo

That's about right on the line, BUT...we have the ability to win this game. Its not easy, but Dobbs is just built to take down Bama. It depends on our defense mostly. They need to play out of their minds and slow down the run game. If not, it will be a long day.

So...I'm saying there's a chance 😏

I actually like our chances in a shootout. If we let Dobbs be Dobbs we have a real chance. The key to beating Bama is spreading them out and attacking the edges.

Let's let them play, Bama's Defense is pretty brutal, if Josh can use his legs, it changes the game just like last year. I'm worried about that Mack Truck called Henry.......dude is a HUGE beast of a back.

Go Vols!!!

What concerns me about Bama is their ability to throw the deep pass, which we clearly suck at defending. I can picture us keeping it close only to have Kiffin hit us with a couple long TD's.

You would think that in Butch's third year, he'd have the team at a point where they wouldn't be 14.5 point dogs to anyone, anywhere.

Bama should win the SEC this season, plus they are at home. We were a top 5 team and still 18 point underdogs to Florida back in 2001

It's up to Dobbs and not going conservative with the game plan. Going to have to move Dobbs, run Dobbs and he'll have to make throws. He has to play well or it could get ugly..

Miss State was undefeated last year ranked #1 in the country heading into Tuscaloosa to play a 1 loss Alabama and they were 7.5 point underdogs. The line is based on PUBLIC PERCEPTION. And Alabama is simply the public favorite.

This is no indictment of Butch Jones. It's just based on the catche Alabama has built up over the last 7 years.

Wonder what the line would be had we not blown the OU and UF games. Single digits i'd guess. It's all perception. That and the fact Bama has looked like world beaters since losing to Ole Miss. On the other hand Ole Miss has looked like crap. Memphis took them behind the woodshed.

We'll have to play very well with few mistakes. And, we'll need a lackluster, tired performance from Bama. Neither is out of the realm of possibility. Reality is, our odds of winning aren't great but they are the best since 2007 (which I'd like to forget).

If you look at it this way, Alabama only beat Texas A&M because Kyle Allen threw 3 "Pick 6s" by overthrowing wide open WRs. In reality, their offense only put up 20 points. Texas A&M's Defense is no more than a Big 12 Defense. If we stack the box, and force Jake Coker to throw like we did UGA's QB I think we have a great chance at winning. We also need to take care of the ball. We need to run Dobbs at least 15 times and Hurd has to go over 100 with 2 TDs.

I agree we have a good shot at beating Bama, some of your points need to be addressed. TAMUs defense is not a B12 defense. Garret and Mack are two of the best in the country. Their pass defense is fifth in the SEC, which is pretty good. The main thing I am worried about is their running game. Henry is almost impossible to stop but Drake may be the killer of the two. He is extremely fast and elusive. Our tackling has been very subpar this season.

We are goint to have to play our best game of the season to win. Its going to be very tough. I have faith we can win. Go Vols.

I love my VOLS, however, I just have no faith in our coaches and they will be "ONCE AGAIN" too conservative and they will not make any 2nd half adjustments also not to mention............that secondary will get torched and with Shy Tuttle out, we will not be able to stop the run...........soooo, w/ all that said, I will take Bama and the points...
