Bama NCAA Violations

This is a painful thread to read (Please don't tell me to quit reading it, then!) I hope my Vol friends will place more emphasis on the "Kid" in Crimsonkid than on the crimson. A couple of years ago, when all this arose, 5 players were suspended for 4 games and the NCAA was notified. They also cleared the return of the 5 to game status when the suspension was over. If something else has been discovered, then the U of A must take responsibility for its actions, or lack of action, whichever. I would hate to see drastic penalties (death) on any football program - especially in the SEC, since I enjoy the games too much. Being well past the proverbial "threescore and ten" means I have been watching great football a long time. I refuse to use the word hate in the same sentence with any school, or group of young men who play for any school. Thanks for allowing me to be on your forum once in a while.

Well when something comes out on Bama breaking a rule, i.e. paying HS coaches, buying players SUV's, text books, etc.... Off previous reputation, and guilt in other situations, do you think people are gonna give them the benefit of the doubt? If your are looking for that you have come to the wrong place.

You take away Bama's previous guilt in rule breaking, and you have a valid point.

Not sure the Albert Means foul up, or your text book problem started on a Vol message board. Of course we know ya'll are still pissed at Fulmer for turning you in. Never mind the fact it was true. When you do "stupid" in the past, you will have to defend accusations in the future, good luck.

Fair enough, my point was the SUV, and text book deal will be viewed by the public much different due to the Means situation (fair or not). They may be totally innocent, I don't know, that is for sure.
