I've been hearing a lot of talk and seeing some posts debating our biggest rival.

I have friends that are ga, fl, ala fans god bless them..and alot of them consider us "the rival" the one they have to have you can say (my Alabama friends seem to go 50/50 on us or auburn)
Personaly speaking I'm thinking and will always think bama..no matter how great they are recently or as bad as they have been in the past..it's always bama...anyone who says otherwise needs to talk to some vols fans with a few more years of orange and white in their blood and gray In the hair..

I can see how Florida maybe the biggest divisional rival maybe..that's a real maybe...I live in North georgia and so I'm biased but to me Georgia is just as big of a game and rivalry..hate those two teams exactly the same and want to beat their ass year in and year out and the times we do I swear I'm on cloud nine talking smack all year.

But then there is beating Alabama..whether they are a power house like currently or hopefully the fall of sabans empire that will crumble one way or another soon..
anytime we beat them whether they are ranked 1 or god willing 116..to me..it's like beating Florida and Georgia combined multiplied by2..no better feeling in college football..

screw bama and if we pull an upset there this year a lot of things will be forgiven to the whole staff by many poeople...cause that's what it will take..the the whole staff calling a perfect game..

Alabama for me. Kinda depends on when you were born as to who you think our biggest rival is.

CBJ would build a ton of equity by beating Alabama this year. Good luck with that.

Stranger things have happened I guess..but just the thought of it gets me excited..probably will just be let down something crazy but damn I hope we go down there and play smash mouth football and beat them down

For the past decade, our greatest opponent has been our fanbase.

There may not be a fan base more tested in its loyalty than Tennessee over the past decade

Fans have been extremely supportive considering what they have been subjected to

Dude stop saying stuff like this. I really need to keep my current view of Florida fans going.

Florida fans were tested too. from 1916 to 1954 they never beat Tennessee had a long dry spell. In fact they were basically also rans until 1980.

THIS IS THE POST OF THE YEAR!!!

Over the last 10 years, Tennessee does not have a winning record over any opponent in the SEC East except Vandy and Kentucky (.500 against SC).

Alabama will more than likely make it 10 in a row this year.

If that were the case at Florida (losing 10 in a row to FSU, 1-9 vs. Georgia) and lacking a winning record vs. everyone in the SEC East except Vandy and Kentucky, I don't know what the attendance in Gainesville would look like.

They still put, what, 80,000 in Neyland on a bad day.

It's a damn good fan base.

Loyal to a fault, and thats part of the problem.

Alabama, but I miss the days when we could truly compete against them.

Then Florida. It's always a nail biter

Bama from a historical perspective and prior to splitting SEC into East/West, but FL from a emotional perspective and since the SEC split. FL has been our nemesis for the most part in winning the East.
