I know several Kentucky basketball fans that are also Tennessee football fans.
At least they were.
Who knows what front runner teams they root for now.

This is part of being a fan. Bama fan has exactly as much power over bama winning as you have over Tennessee losing. Zero.

All that said, back to the original question about Fridays, he might not be wrong. the ACC started this a few years ago with the argument that several of their schools are not in traditional markets where HS football is huge (Syracuse, Louisville, Pitt) and said that they wouldn't play Friday games in the south. Well, of course money changes everything. GT was mad about having to play at Louisville on a Friday last year, Clemson made a big stink about having to play at Syracuse on Friday the 13th, a game they lost. Money wins out. Fact is, SEC teams are making more money from the TV contract than they are from the gate, and prime time TV draws more ad revenue than Saturday at noon. If they can move a low rated match-up, something like VU vs SCAR game to Friday night it would make more money for ESPN, high schools be damned. I think the SEC will be among the last conferences to go this route, but don't be surprised when it eventually happens.

I would have Googled it, as soon as he left my side, then once I found out he was lying, I would have beat his a$$!

I worked with a guy once that was such a new Bama fan it was ridiculously obvious. He asked me for help with his NFL fantasy draft and I had him pick all Vols. He never was the wiser. Lol.
