Bama’s light show was about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen

I was in the stadium and thought it was pretty cool, but would get old game after game. I did wonder how it effected the players as they would take the field then the light show would start when the tv clock hit 11 seconds or so and would stop like 2 seconds before the kick. I would think that would mess with players eyes.

But it does give cool potential. When the Tuscaloosa officer was killed they life the stadium blue, which was awesome.

It was ok at the start but they did that crap everytime out and that elephant was annoying also
It won't be long before every D1 school has those lights...
It's football people not WWE
If recruits want them, hey, go for it.

But I doubt recruits honestly give a damn.

#50 in education but they can spend millions on a light show that they can only do maybe 5 times a year. I know they don't spend tax dollars on it but still a great insight into the priorities of this cesspool of a state. I'm as big a college football fan as anyone but if I have to live in a cesspool like Alabama to have a championship team I will gladly pass.
WTF do stadium LED lights at BDS have to do with state education?

It'll be coming to Neyland, just a matter of time.

It's the new stadium war and ours had better be better than everyone elses.

That will become a big part of the recruiting war.

Fulmer needs to get the $$$ and get Neyland ready to rock during the Summer to start impressing the recruits big time.

VFL...GBO!!!
Theres a practical use as well. Those old lights are expensive as hell to operate. Plus you have to turn them on way early to give them time to light us. LEDs are more expensive to install but cost way less to operate and last much longer.

Hubbs was just on 1045TheZone saying they were playing the lights when the Vols were in the huddle and possibly trying to mess with them. He said the play clock was running. He thinks the SEC needs to get involved and make them stop when the play clock stops.

Blaine Bishop said "get your own light show and do it back to them" LOL.

If Tennessee had this we would be going nuts about how cool it is. I predict that Neyland will have this (maybe better) soon. We have to keep up with the Jones.

And when they first started talking about it I thought it was a really cool idea. I was excited to see it.....then I saw it.

Maybe it was just the extremely pee poor choreography or the fact that the flashes were so quick that it looked more like a Japanese anime rather than a orchestrated light show but ugh, that was painful.

The best part of the pre kick broadcast was when the pride of the south land completely over shadowed their club song and light show. All you could hear was rocky top. Well played mister band director. Well played.

It was as though the entire stadium was a 30-mile, night-time highway construction zone in Chicago metro with a 20mph speed limit.

the same folks in here saying they hate it and it should only be pregame or halftime are the same ones that think it's cool and acceptable for the braves to dim the lights in the middle of a game

That was funny as hell. The pride was playing with a chip on their shoulder. It was a mean and very loud version of Rocky Top.😁

Many on here will hate it. Anything new is "a horrible affront to the proud tradition of UT sports" to a big section of our fanbase. It's the same argument as the uniform debate.

Bammers going to Bammer. They have to do something to get their fans to show up against non ranked teams even if it is reminiscent of World Championship Wrestling.

It impressed our boys. So if they were impressed, then I would imagine it impresses Recruits. Let's do it!!!
