I'd say for fans around age 40 and older it's definitely ingrained on both sides. I wasn't surprised by the banter & levity on their boards as Gen-X (age 40 and up) to boomers, are the primary demographics for these archaic Web2.0 message boards.

Maybe as young as 30 it's still ingrained, but they would have been born in 1992 just a few years before we ended a Bama run and started our own. Since they've been teenagers, all they've known is the present streak.

I'm not sure the younger generation grasps the impetus 1 win can create and the consequences of that in this rivalry.

Don’t read too much into Bama’s close call last night. Not having BY is a huge factor and I am confident he will be back next week. If they were playing us this week I’m guessing he plays.

I believe we are going to have a dogfight in Neyland next week. For the first time in recent memory we have a chance to break the streak and I’m beyond excited.

We will see...

I am not going to get down on this team if they lose because Alabama just has layers of top recruiting classes/depth while we have 1-2 recruiting classes but this could be a great opportunity for us.

I have to say, those comments are mostly immature from a most immature fan base. What's with the Fiftennessee? Oh, after typing it in, I realized what it was. Fifteen years in a row they have beaten us, plus Tennessee added to it. And calling Tennessee cheatu, how moronic! They have apparently forgotten the Albert Means thingy, as well as all the money Alabama boosters have given players with the hundred dollar handshakes. Every school that has attained any level of success has dealt money to recruits and players. Us included.
That's the first time I've ever wanted to register on another teams fan site to respond to some of the comments, but I realized that would be stupid.

Huntsville is a great city of people who are non Alabamans. They feel under siege. They are bandwagon fans, to be sure, but I remember when I saw mostly orange there.

I’m pretty sure it would be like arguing with nine year olds, plus they have this dogged notion that calls never go Bamas way and the refs constantly miss calls on the other teams .. Disconnect from reality, so probably a futile and frustrating exercise to go over there .. OG Bama fans aren’t that bad.. but you will probably be dealing with the carpetbaggers and ‘fans’ who have never stepped foot in Tuscaloosa (also extremely low information on other teams as well as their own).. I say don’t pick up that rock and look underneath it

We attended the last win against Alabama at Neyland. With the big win yesterday we'd love to be at Neyland on Saturday as I believe Neyland will be absolutely crazy and I believe it's time for a Vol Victory. Singing Rocky Top at Neyland after the win would be a tremendous highlight!!!
