Balmer Orioles

Since the Orioles overtook the Rays in July for first place in the AL East, they have been winning at a 65% clip. But so have the Rays. The O's are three games ahead in the loss column, with three fewer losses, at start of games today. So, two of the four best records in baseball belong to these two teams, both in the AL East. Atlanta and Dodgers are the other two.

After a sweep of the Halos in Anaheim, O's travel to Boston for a weekend series having gained a game on the Rays, who got 2 of 3 in Boston. Rays start a 4 game home series with the Mariners. HUGE four game series between Rays and O's starts next Thursday in Baltimore.

Projected default batting lineup for the O's in 24 by midseason:

1) (L) Jackson Holliday, SS
2) (S) Adley Rutschman, C
3) (L) Gunnar Henderson, 3B
4) (S) Anthony Santander, DH
5) (L) Heston Kjerstad or Colton Cowser, RF
6) (R or L) Ryan Mountcastle or O'Hearn, 1B
7) (L) Cedric Mullins, CF
8) (R) Austin Hays, LF
9) (R) Jordan Westburg, 2B

So, a RH starting pitcher will face 7 straight leftie power hitters, and a leftie will get the full L/R/L/R/etc. treatment.

Gonna be a great year for dem Os.

Coby Mayo could be a big factor too. Baltimore's hitter development is insane

Listening to/attending a lot of O's and Nats games since I live here now. O's bats are heating up, could really be a scary team.
