I wonder how much $ Vandy gave ETSU last year to beat their asses. Vandy probably could have found someone locally, maybe at Printer’s Alley, to dominate them for a lot less.🤓

You need a reminder slice of humble, bub. As rightfully proud of our team as we may be, we should be careful how high in the atmosphere we turn up our noses at others. Just saying. All that aside GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the sentiment, but I'll be happy with anything that's a "W". I stopped taking "paycheck games" for granted after Georgia State 3 years ago.

I can appreciate your trepidation, but-

Pruitt is gone. JG is no longer a danger to us

Time to get back to the days of teams fearing Neyland. I remember a simpler time my friends. A time when a little stream of pee would be running down opposing DBs pants pregame as they knew they were about to be embarrassed in front of their momma's and their girlfriends. We can have those times again

Dude, you really need to put this in blue or something 😂😂

I was mentally getting ready to bash you as your estimate for meals was way too high.

Didn't realize it was a joke until the hospital visits line.

It's always appropriate to give Vandy a kick in the balls.

That is the going rate pretty much for these Mid-major schools to play without a return game. That is also why you see some SEC schools play 2 for 1 with a mid major instead of paying a big pay out. If its 2 for 1, the home teams of each game keep their gate.

1.5 mill is a sizeable subsidy for these smaller schools like Ball State.

Most of these schools probably fund all of their sports scholarships from a single game like this one...so that's why you're never going to hear me complain about UT playing a "cupcake" school.
Pick a in state school to donate 2 mil to every year and schedule a real team.

My other reasoning that I like these smaller schools is that it sort of becomes like a pre-season NFL game for major college teams.
You can get your 2nd and 3rd string guys some real game experience in a game that doesn't really matter or you should be winning easily.

I like the mid-season ones for kind of those same reasons and it can be a 'bye week' to get your starters some valuable rest and recovery.

I mean if they paid me and about 11-12 people I got together $1.5 million to play the Vols, I'd probably do it.

I also would go into victory formation every offensive play.

Pick me. I still have some eligibility left.

Make em earn every penny. Have em wishing they had gotten twice as much for the beatdown.
