Before anyone destroys Coach Z's "opportunity" has anyone seen what his statistics as OC at WKU Were? Maybe we should look at that. I think it makes a lot of sense to promote from within and show the opportunity is here with UT. If we go outside, I just don't want a failed SEC retread (Napier).

If he goes on to fill a head coaching or NFL coordinator vacant it's actually a good thing. When your coordinators and assistants are leaving to pursue bigger options it actually means that you're doing sometbing right that they are being considered for said jobs.

Butch is a smart guy, he will make a good hire and we have a plethora of talent who still seem to be totally committed to Tennessee so no worries.

The only thing one might blame Bajakian for is convincing Butch to start Worley rather than Dobbs--but I doubt that happened, and ultimately the coach is responsible for who starts at QB. Otherwise, we had one of the worst offensive lines in UT's history, and all of our receivers got injured. Other than that, we were great.

I wasn't exactly excited when I read the first staff lineup Jones put together when he was hired. Yes, there is something to be said for continuity, I understand that. My point is, I would really like to see him pull someone impressive from the open list (such as Magee) and not just bump Azzani which I think would be a weak move. It would be nice to have a bit of turmoil at UT in which we end up coming out on top.

I like your thinking. Turn a negative into a positive. The key is who CBJ brings in. At this late in the game it may be tough unless you like someone who this would be a major move up for.

Look,fellow Vols fans,I'm as loyal as they come and having said that,I'd be happy to welcome back Tee Martin...people can love on Peyton Manning all they want and I love the guy,but Tee did what our beloved Peyton could not...1) beat Florida...2) help win us a modern day National Championship. Bring back Tee,get it "T" if not,give it to coach "Z" !!
