Bajakian leaving UT

Sounds like Butch may have told him not to let the door hit you in the arse on the way out. I hope this doesn't effect the recruiting class and i hope Butch can find a good replacement.

Where did you come up with that? Nothing that I have seen or heard made me think that. Bajakian has been with CBJ for a while. I don't think he would be happy to see him go. I would say he probably tried to get him to stay, not run off someone he had been friends and coached with for quite some time. Just because that is how you feel, doesn't mean that is what Jones thinks.

I doubt there's a single player in this class whose #1 reason for committing was to play for Bajakian.

Doesn't matter I've seen this too many times before. Kids are finicky. Any type of coaching change is bad right now...period!!!

**** Bajakian, and he knows this program needs coaching consistency as much as any other major for program. He was always the one talking about how they all built a house here and yadayada more so than the other coaches. I hope he takes the CMU job and fails miserably. I'm afraid this might set us back considerably. I would say good luck to him, but no, **** him and I hope he does terrible and this creates family issues...don't nobody wanna move to ****ing Michigan. Im just bitter af bc he seems d to be the one preaching how he was as gonna be here for a good while. Wtf ever...just another snake in a suit

One. Major programs (the elite ones) have staff turnover rather frequently. Mainly due to promotion. So that in and of it self is not the issue. The good HCs make good hires to replace and you dont see a difference and sometimes even an improvement.

Every coach speaks as tho "this is the place to be" until they leave. Its a business.

If Jones is worth his salt he can hire a better coach.

Unless you don't think he is capable, why would that be bad?

This is the first time in a while that a coach isn't jumping ship or screwing us. He's just taking a promotion. I know that is a difficult concept for us. This staff is loaded with exceptional recruiters who have created a great environment around the program. We will be fine man.

It's hilarious to me how many people on this forum were calling for Bajakian's head all season long. Now that he's gone, they hate him because apparently we will go 3-9 this season as a result.

Bunch of brilliant people around here.

Can you name one poster that did that?

Don't know if it has been posted but we had the 90th ranked total offense this year. Only reason I am even concerned about this is because I don't want the players to have to learn a whole new system. It could hurt our chances at progressing next season.

If you don't think this will hurt recruiting your being naive.

Taken from the recruiting forum:

Fortenberry said he's working on an article from comments from all the O recruits and none are negative so far.

He said only Sherrion Jones was close to Jake and that he hadn't reached him yet and he's the only one he'd be slightly concerned with.

But Jones has already tweeted that he is solid and all Vol since then so the short answer is No this won't hurt any.

Do you have a link or quote that backs up the idea that recruiting will really be bother by MB leaving?

Lets hope Coach Z is better at calling plays than he is at coaching wideouts.

Tampa is obviously planning to draft Supermario and want a coach to teach him dual threat stuff...

Jones is an offensive minded guy. I doubt you see UT vary much from the system. It will just be coached and called by a different guy.

Butch has run the same offense everywhere. If there are any changes they will be minor. It's ok. We won't be running power I next year.

Have you looked at the staff turnover at Alabama?! Coaching changes don't necessarily result in negative impact on recruiting.
