Bailey took every snap during scrimmage

Trying not to read between the lines too hard here but it appears that he's telling JG that if he screws up one more time, he's gone. That's the only thing I can think of to justify putting another quarterback into the scrimmage for the entire time yet saying the key is not your starting quarterback. It looks like it's pretty much a foregone conclusion. This is starting to smell like a coach getting fired. They're not going to say it yet but they're already looking for a new coach behind the scenes.

My guess is CJP with Harrison Bailey taking all the snaps in Sundays practice is sending a message to Guarantano to get better or move on.

Let's hope so

Ok..... listen guys. After the UGA game in Pruitts post game presser he was asked about the scrimmage the following day. His reply was “We scheduled that a few weeks ago and it’s meant for the new guys and those who haven’t gotten a lot of reps.” New guys. He basically said the day before that HB would be taking all the reps to catch him and others up.

You think that implies they're trying to force feed him to get him ready

Not at all. I think it implies that he’s not been good in limited practice. I think they need to see something from him to feel comfortable with how they’re handling the qbs because let’s face it..... it’s unfair, misleading and mishandled. It’s not going to last forever before one or two start looking for a home they feel welcome in. It’s human nature.

Well I look at it as he was limited to two weeks of falll camp and that's why they're trying to get him as many reps as possible. I don't think it's fair to speculate that's he's having trouble due to the simple fact of what I stated above

Just have to disagree on that one. Very smart. I would love to have him now if for no other reason than his ability to quickly diagnose coverages. But he didn't have a great arm and had concrete feet.

What was his record against Florida again?

That’s what I’ve heard from other people. Not you. But it’s to be expected with such little practice. Not meant as a shot at bailey.

so glad u.....of all people....cleared this up! people was really thinking this scrimmage was with the regulars....smh

STOP! it was one comment. im sure "back to your regularly scheduled program" is just around the corner with you....lol
I give credit where it’s due along with criticism. When JG plays good I say it. When he plays bad I say it. Same with Maurer or any other. So why haven’t you seen me criticize Maurers play? Because his WORST game (UK) was as good as a decent JG. Don’t like fair comparisons? Don’t read my posts.

This logic is not logical. If Pruitt believes JG needs to get better and "this is your last chance" would he not make sure that JG gets every snap he possibly could in practice?

It could also mean that Maurer is about to bolt to the transfer portal and CJP need to get Bailey up to speed. We may be one JG injury away from being sh!t out of luck at the QB position.

or it could be he's qb'ing the bench warmers and newcomers like WHAT ACTUALLY TOOK PLACE! sheesh!

IF JG gives them their best chance to win... then there is something BAD wrong with the staff and the QB room.
If you understand Pruitt, then you undstand why he is playing JG. The biggest thing Pruitt's football world is turnovers. He craves them like a vampire craves blood on defense and fears them more than Dracula does a cross.
JG, historically, has taken care of the ball. His default is safety. In fact the int he threw against Georgia was due to his hesitating on the hot route because he thought the corner was going to be able to jump the route. He double pumps, throws of his back foot, int. He let's go on time no int.
The other qbs in the past and in practice have put the ball in harm's way much frequently.
Until The younguns start taking care of the ball or JG becomes turnover prone things will remain the same.
I really believe you will see more of the younguns soon, particularly JTS.

Ummmmm. JG is turn over prone. In fact it can be argued that he’s more prone to TOs than Maurer was last year. He was prone vs GAST and BYU. Then he was prone vs UF which is 3 out of 4 games. It got him benched. Maurer was prone in only ONE game vs Miss St. Where’s the consistency?

There is a lot more public data on JG than BM. The private data only the coaches and few others are privy to. As far as BM's public work, I personally look promising but he did play fast and loose with the ball. He could have had many more balls picked. How he is now is the question. As a coach I would have been very hesitant to put a inexperienced qb in against this year's Geogia team. Much better defense than last year and better than Alabama last year. I think of Florida destroying Peterman, ruined for the rest of the year.

C'mon now. I am as ready to be done with JG as anyone, but that is just not true. JG had 8 int last year and 2 fumbles lost for a total of 10 turnovers in 257 pass attempts and 13 games played. BM had 5 interceptions and 2 fumbles lost for a total of 7 turnovers in 75 pass attempts in 7 games played. Maurer brings a spark that I don't think JG does, but there is no objective question that he was more turnover prone last year.

You can enter the portal and still play. He can’t play anywhere else until next season anyway. Doubt he enters until after the season ends. If he does, it’s more than just playing time.

IMO, the only way JG sits is if he get injured. If he decides to stay next year, he will be our starter. I'm not saying that's what should happen, that's what I think will happen.
