He doesn’t have it to start. And who cares? , it’s his 5th year. He’s a man not a young boy.The fact that JG is still in the game tells me that, in Pruitt's mind, he is far and away the best option and Pruitt doesn't want to wreck his confidence by taking him out after a bad second half
We need our other Qb’s to get real game experience. There is every reason to take out JG for the benefit of making the team better.Little benefit in trotting out another QB at this point. The game is lost. JG cannot compete at this level and we lack the coaches to make up the difference. Our best hope is that JG hangs it up at season’s end.
I’m talking mop up time in this game after the outcome was known. No reason to not let your backups get game experience. I do not understand the mentality. How are you going to know what the backups can do in a real game If they do not get in a real game. I’ll tell you what, I’m certain JT or Maurer would make quicker decisions than JG. JG played one of the best halves of his career with a lead against one of the best if not best team in the country. He followed it up with likely the worst half of his career or any half by any UT Qb ever.It won’t happen and it’ll kill what little confidence JG has left. They’ve put their chips in on JG. It’s that simple.
