Bailey and Shrout will take “majority” of QB reps going forward

I was pro BM and JT last year and that felt either one could be an under the radar great Qb. Don’t feel as strongly about that this year, I’m not sure if any of them will be a good to great Qb. Jury is still out and I would put HB in the same category. You know what the cliche is when a coach says they have multiple Qb’s who can play without a definitive leader? It usually means you do not have any quality Qb’s.
Or it could mean the coach COULD have 1,2 or even three qbs that are talented enough to be very good if he were capable of recognizing talent when he seen it.

Don’t be so bull headed to think there’s a plan. That “Little bit of BM” quote is an insurance policy in case one or both chit the bed.

Seriously, if you don't mind a little advice, from now on, don't engage him, ignore him. Being ignored bothers his type much more than arguing with him...

That’s usually not the case. If one doesn’t stand out it usually means that all two or three are not what you are looking for. This has been going on for decades, probably before you were a young man or not even born yet.

As for Maurer I’m not any more upset than I have been. I feel Pruitt has sabotaged the entire position group for two years now and expect more of the same as long as he’s there. I just hope for UTs case that Bailey and Shrout ARE the best choices going forward because once Maurer is gone, he’s not coming back once one or both don’t perform up to expectations (should that happen)
Promise?

True but has Pruitt not proven that he’s incapable and head strong? Bad combination to be too sure that this could be an exception and not the rule.

JG seems like a good kid. Good luck to him going forward.

This team has other issues but this position is the most glaring in a QB driven game now. Its the biggest (not the only) reason Pruitt has put himself in a very bad way after finishing 8-5 last year with 6 straight wins and starting this season 2-0.

Doesn't bother me at all, I don't even think about this forum when not on it, lol. You've got some weird ideas going on today.

But you’ll still be here to talk about something else other than the much maligned Aaron Rodgers clone. 😏
Yep. Said that all along too. Just started a thread about Chaney. You should check it out.

I think this makes some sense. Even if Maurer is better than one or both... it would be far more difficult to create a gameplan that worked for him and either of the others- especially at their collective levels of development. You should be able to create one gameplan for HB and Shrout that works for either.

I hate that Maurer will not get his shot at UT. Some of it is coaching. Some of it is circumstances. I hope he finds a good landing spot and has great success.

Just perused. Noticed you haven’t cut that Maurer cord just yet! 😎

I should. When do we get to read the threads about other position groups in this program you love?
I’d say that’s a start. Another thing I’ve never denied is the fact that I’ll stick to my roots. Qbs and offense. My thread had little to do with Maurer and everything to do with offense moving forward with or without Maurer.
