Bad Omen for Tennessee OC search??

Because a really good offensive coach automatically puts 40 points on the board for you lol
All the Enos lovers are talking through the roof. He walks on water and turns qbs around. Not to mention he was 26-36 as a HC

Pete Thamel reporting on Twitter that Locksley will make an announcement sometime after tonight's game that he is headed to Maryland.

So we know Bama OC position will be open and there has been no announcement at Tennessee. Do we have to wait for all the dominoes to fall before we get a chance at what is left over for our OC?

It sounds like Freeze is waiting to see what he is offered before responding to a Tennessee offer. Maybe we end up with Enos or Lindsey
After that 3rd and 3 call just now, Maryland may change their mind on offering Locksley.

I not saying Enos is trash or he can hang 40 on a team. I’m saying why take a QB coach and make him OC when you are in the position we are in. Take a proven OC. Enos would be fine but don’t make him the second choice

Locksley was expected to take the Maryland job. This isn’t news.

If we miss on Freeze, we should reach out to Rick Neuheisel. I always thought he had a great offensive mind.

It's going to be Lindsey --bet on it. I think he had to wait until after today in order to get his retention bonus. Wasn't today the first opportunity to announce Freeze? Didn't happen.

I’m betting on Lindsey too. He and Pruitt seem to have too much in common to not be the guy. Fingers crossed for Freeze though.
Honestly, after the strides our guys made in player development in the off season under Pruitt and his kinda coaches, I’m confident that he knows what he’s looking for in a coach. Pruitt is a real ball coach, not a hype man.

No , all of Volnation except for you.
Personally, I'd be fine with any of the top four or five in contention. Freeze would be my first choice, but fact is, he might be short term (or HC in waiting;)). I'm a little concerned if it's Friend, but hey, who knows? He might turn out great. Lindsey would be my bet though.

I believe he is one of the coaches in that new league, whatever it’s called. I think he is coaching Arizona team.

I still believe it's going to be Freeze. Simply because of the Harrison Bailey commitment. I just think that is something that can't be overlooked.

I hope you are right but I really thought it would be announced today if that were the case. No reason to delay it if it were Freeze. It's not like he is working right now.

If Locksley is going to Maryland, he has obviously been in talks with them for a while, which Saban would have known about. If Saban knew he was about to lose his OC, he would already be talking to potential replacements.

I doubt Freeze is “waiting to see what they offer”... If he’s on Saban’s list, they’ve already been talking.

If he’s going to be Locksley’s replacement, we’ll probably hear about it shortly after Locksley announces he’s leaving. Maybe the same day.
