I don't know. Maybe they mentioned him and was trying to see if he would come over? Again, until we find out the rest of the facts, it's pure speculation right now. The cameras caught enough to be able to pinpoint the 5 other players supposedly.

Just want to say that the actions of a few should not tarnish the entire program, BUT CJF is single handedly turning his biggest supporters into his biggest detractors. To me, its easy...quit being a douche and answer something besides a soft toss question without foaming at the mouth and pushing his glasses up his sweaty nose like a spoiled kid who got his first spanking. Humility, he has none.

If I were a member of the Nashville media I would be furious that he's skirting the issue. I would just keep asking him about it over and over again until he walks out. This is bigger than football and bigger than JF's ego (maybe). I don't think he realizes the damage he's doing by avoiding it completely.

Or at least come up with a respectful way to refuse questions on the subject.

That answer was rather pathetic.

How hard would it have been to something like "This is a terrible case and something that really hurts me as a leader of this program, member of this community, and ultimately as a father. Unfortunately, we are unable to answer questions pertaining to that event at this time."

Instead, he and his QB offer up snide replies.

Hellfire, this isn't some drunk doofus on a scooter or a bar brawl...the details of this are horrific and yet this is what Vandy offers up.

I think the video in question was one the rapist took with their phone. The security camera was coved by a towel. In the reports I've read, the covering of the security camera was what raised red flags in the first place.

Here is the text that incriminates Carta-Samuels and the TE:

seventh text: Boyd to Batey: Nah she doesn’t know anything that happened but she passed out in Vandenburg’s bed. Me Carta and Vanderwall (sic) and Vandenburg helped us move her out the hallway.

They clearly helped to move the still-unconscious victim away from the crime scene. How they haven't yet been charged as accessories to the crime is beyond me!

I have never in my life pulled for a player to get injured, but if JF is gonna keep playing Carta-Samuels knowing he was involved, then I hope he takes a career ending shot to the knee.

Chris Boyd officially dismissed from the team. Kind of suprised since he agreed to a plea deal, thought that was signaling a quicker return to the field.

Probably a result of pressure from the administration for slow playing the whole thing in the first place. It's like they're trying to save face by cleaning house after the fact.

Wasn't the speculation last week that the rumor of Franklin seeing the video came from the Boyd legal team? If that was true, this could get very interesting if this goes to trial and Boyd testifies.
