Probably, which is unfortunate. Maybe it's like the time fulmer met some people at Denny's.
Your statement is full of insinuations. Fulmer met the accuser's friend who was at the dorm that night and her mom to get a better understanding of what went on. He was trying to avoid another Nilo Silvan type incident and avoid ruining an innocent person's life and career for false accusations. Turns out he was right as the charges were proven false. Here are two articles about the situation. Let's not rewrite history davethevol:
SI.com - College Football - Tennessee CB identified in rape of 16-year-old girl - Friday June 13, 2003 09:47 PM
SI.com - College Football - Vols DB Stewart won't be charged in rape case - Wednesday July 30, 2003 05:40 PM
I'm sorry, but that is incredibly shady.
I think trying to keep it under wraps till after media days is a bad idea. It's just going to make the press try to hammer them that much harder over it while they have direct access to them at media days.
Tennessee law does not protect media "sources"...that and Vandy being a private institution is why the names are not being released. If any member of the media released names their sources would be subject to recall by the courts. No member of the media wants to go to jail to protect his source and no source wants to be dragged into court proceedings. Until charges are formally made, we won't "officially" find out anything.
James Franklin smells like kimchi. I think we finally got to the bottom of the quote's original intent.

This is definitely understandable, but the fact that nobody is finding out who the 4 players are that were dismissed from the team is quite surprising. Regardless of whether they were involved or not, 4 players of the Vanderbilt football team were dismissed and nothing is being said.
