Bad move to jerk Worley.

That is crazy, the bad move was to jerk Simms. Worley should have never seen the field.

Hopefully Worley starts next week against MTSU. He still gives us the best chance the rest of the way and he may be able to sort some issues out against a bad opponent.

I just don't see it, bass.

I 've always thought Simms has the capability to beat most of the teams on the later portion of the schedule. Right now, Worley is a wild card at best against those teams IMO especially with the way he played tonight.

I agree Bass. I think Worley can take a big step this week now that he got his feet wet.

Simms completed his first pass to a check down in his life when he threw the 1st down conversion to Zach Rogers - and it only took him 6 seconds and rolling to his right to finally see him. I feel like we can't even sustain a drive with 'em in there and we would only score on a busted coverage or a good rushing attack.

Worley will and should start next week. Hopefully it can be a confidence boosting type game. He was put in a bad situations, dropped passes and terrible playcalling. No way do you throw the ball inside the 5 on 2nd down across the middle.

I hope in the future we can recruit some QB's that aren't so fragile mentally that we can let them start a game as a freshman and not have their entire career ruined in their first game. Really, this is stupid as usual guys! Worley knows that it is his first SEC rodeo, and smart enough to know you have to work for it, grow into it and you can't do that sitting on the bench. He probably learned a lot and he will have film to study and watch what he did wrong, and he will be better for it. I can't believe how fragile you guys think our players are. Heck, he only had 16,000 passing yards in S. Carolina, and he doesn't have the juniors and seniors around him that Bray had last year....or Hunter! Give the guy a chance to get his feet wet and get some experience. We will be better for it next year, and this year is shot anyway. I personally don't want to watch my team draw a 1 or 2 loss team in a bowl and get blown out with a 6 win team again!

Worley didn't seem to be checking down too much either. I agree that Worley looks to have potential, but he's possibly destroying that potential by being played before he's ready.

I saw him check down. He had limited attempts - we've seen Matt Simms for 1.5 seasons(ish) and he had his first check down tonight. He also managed to get the ball out and not take sacks when Matt Simms definitely would have been sacked. The ball placement was 20x better than anything Simms could do either.. allowing his receivers to catch the ball in stride.. we may actually be able to run a successful swing pass to the RB with Worley in.

Simms has a stronger arm and more experience and that's about it. Simms has more experience but still seems to throw INTs like a freshman would.

The reality is, we don't have a QB. Simms is bad, but he has experience, and he doesn't fall apart. Worley is far from ready. He looked like a deer in headlights. Think how he'll collapse in a hostile environment like Arky. Maybe he can play mop up next week, since that's probably the only other game we won't be fighting to stay alive.

Agree. As much as it pains me to type this, Vandy will have several ints against us this year unless Bray gets back by then. It won't matter if it's Simms or Worley.

The one drive he was in we got into scoring position....

Please....after 2 years of watching Simms suck up the place...his one miracle almost-touchdown won't change any minds.

Whatever you're smoking...stop...seriously

Matt...seriously...we know it's you.

Please. Simms is a suckbot. If you don't see that maybe it's time to start following a different sport.

Hopefully Worley starts next week against MTSU. He still gives us the best chance the rest of the way.

Without a doubt. And at least the defense doesn't give up with him in there.

With Simms, they know we won't score and they fold.

I thought Worley did fairly well outside of the 2 backbreaker picks in the endzone. take those away & the WR drops and it would've been really interesting..

really proud of the D stepping up!

Dont say WR drops go ahead and be honest the DaRick Rogers Drop and bad route running. Put Worley in the Gun thats what he is comfortabel doing and he can make short throws and he also threw 3 really nice long balls one that DaRick dropped and the 2 that Arnett caught. I think Worley played well and the coaches pulling him may have been the worst move this season he couldnt hv done no worse than sims in there!

Hopefully, Worley can calm down at MTSU. We can't afford to have him melt down at Arky, which is a tough place to play. Simms is bad, but at least he keeps his composure, and has played on the road in hostile environments. If we are blown out at Arky, we go into Vandy beaten down. We can't afford that. Sadly, unbelievably, Vandy is a pivotal game for Dooley this year. It matters. A lot.
