Imagine caring about either....Americans know about soccer they just don't like it because it's boring
Guilty. May have something to do with why basketball is my favorite sport. We're also notoriously low in the attention span department when it comes to sports.
Even with what you could say is the most boring sport Americans watch (golf), something happens every few seconds, it switches to different shots.
I personally enjoy soccer, but realize why people don't. I think there's a lot happening/unfolding every second, but you only see it if you understand the nature if the game itself. Most Americans want a score to happen every few minutes.
Playing a sport and watching a sport are two different things too so i agree about the spans. We're also notoriously low in the attention span department when it comes to sports.

Do you think that soccer and hockey would be more exciting if they eliminated the offsides penalties? We're also notoriously low in the attention span department when it comes to sports.

Point taken. I do wish college football rules were prevalent in the NFL..Not really. It would remove a degree of precision from the game.
Would football be more exciting if they removed pass interference?

overtime rules, having one foot down for a catch, kickoff returns, etc.
Honestly the only NFL rule i wish college had was the spot of penalty for defensive PI
Goodell is determined to take the game international. I really dont think there was an alterior motive than that, although I think its a pretty weird choice for the halftime show.
I'll probably just mute it and go do something else for 20 minutes. I can't say im too interested in Kid Rock either.
Is there an option C?
100%. He and the owners want to expand the game internationally. He's the number one downloaded artist on Spotify.Goodell is determined to take the game international. I really dont think there was an alterior motive than that, although I think its a pretty weird choice for the halftime show.

The more and more gambling becomes easier the less they worry about losing the American audience. Did all the kneeling and Kapernick crap hurt them long term? Nope. It crushes everything in its wake. Including college football. The Ven diagram of people bothered over the kneeling that took place and Bad Bunny being selected for a Super Bowl half time show is just a circle. The "boycot" then had zero lasting impactI think its a massive mistake, but whatever.
NASCAR did this and it backfired royally. Turns out an auto racing league started by a buncha southern rednecks largely appeals only to a bunch of southern rednecks (yes I am a fan). They still haven’t recovered from alienating their fan base.100%. He and the owners want to expand the game internationally. He's the number one downloaded artist on Spotify.
NASCAR changed the fundamentals of the sport. Nobody really GAS about who is playing the halftime show. And if they do they likely left over KapNASCAR did this and it backfired royally. But the NFL has broader appeal. When I was in Europe for an extended stay around 1998 they were eaten up with it then. I watched a couple of games with them and they were mesmerized how I could predict the penalty when a flag is thrown. I proceeded to explain how it could really only be this or that based on where and when the flag was thrown. I’ve never seen that interest in NASCAR. The NFL is different. And now they’ve got NFL Europe that just stokes the interest. Let’s face it the NFL is fun to watch it’s violent and action packed. They are going to succeed at growing the fan base and already have to a certain degree.
