This, make us forget about the trouble of the world for a couple of hours. If I wanted to be reminded of everything that was wrong with the world is go watch cable network news. It's funny the uproar both sides are making over halftime shows. I mean, most people don't even watch the halftime show, so why the hell does it matter?
If I had to guess, BB will probably use the platform he's been given to deliver a political statement. That I disagree with. And I'd disagree with it if it was a MAGA supporter doing the same. Just do your damn set, entertain the people who actually watch, then get off the stage and get back to the game. I'm tired of every famous person thinking we want to hear their politics. It goes for both sides. If you're a singer, sing. If you're a comedian, tell funny jokes. But enough with everyone pretending to be a politician. FFS, the politicians we have are bad enough.
No one would care at all, unless they picked someone talentless like Kid RockOh it’s because yt ppl hate Puerto Ricans…
Not the fact it’s obviously going to be political.
If hell froze over and someone conservative performed, the same ones making a thousand posts about Bad Bunny performing is a good thing would be clutching a lot of pearls.
Let’s just be entertained and skip the political ish for a little bit.
FTR both halftime shows sound boring.

What they do on their own time is their own time. If they want to espouse their political beliefs then, I'm all for it. I won't be tuning in. But if I'm watching an event, I'd prefer they leave their politics out of it. If you think that's a lazy stance, so be it. I think it's lazy for them to use time they are being paid for for their own agenda. Do that on their own time. Not every damn thing needs to be turned into a political rally."Shut up and dribble" has kind of become a lazy stance, fwiw.

It's lazy because they are doing it while getting paid to do something else. If they hold their beliefs so dear, be they MAGA or Democrat or whatever, do it on their own time, when they're not getting paid to entertain the rest of us. Don't force people to have to listen to you if they want to watch a game or be entertained.I would argue that putting their views on their name/reputation is the opposite of lazy but I guess we just see things differently.
I agree!! I’m a middle of the road liberal and have never listened to BB but I do like Green Day, Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert. Outside of Prince my favorite halftime show was Snoop, Dre, and 50 cent but I grew up listening to that. I would like some diversity in the halftime show. It can have multiple genres of music and be good. It's lazy because they are doing it while getting paid to do something else. Entertainment should be neutral ground.
I have zero problem with Bad Bunny. I just don't want to see him or anyone else turn it into a political event. That's not what the Super Bowl is supposed to be.I agree!! I don't have a problem either. Don't know who BB is. Agree with Dink, don't think it is lazy within the definition of the word; perhaps pretentious is the right word by thinking everyone in the world still tuned in to hear one perform cares about one's political thoughts. But I don't care. I can turn it off; if I ever turned it on.I have zero problem with Bad Bunny. I just don't want to see him or anyone else turn it into a political event. trump was/is so pathetic that the norm could no longer be the norm......the fact that so many sat idly by is how we got hereWhat they do on their own time is their own time. You are very much part of the problem.trump was/is so pathetic that the norm could no longer be the norm......the fact that so many sat idly by is how we got here
He was well below the bar of acceptability and most everyone knew that in 2016.
He has made this country dumber, angrier, less civil, and far more divided......as was his plan all along.
Your avoidance of what's wrong within your own party while trumpeting everything wrong with the other party, that's the real problem. Both sides are broken, as exampled by the candidates both sides continue to run for office. Yet you continue to defend, defend, defend your own tribe. Instead of complaining about "the other side", both sides need to worry about fixing themselves.lol......
It was the avoidance of truth that I viewed as a big part of the problem.
Everyone who said anything remotely similar to "well, they are all bad" are the real problem.
PleaseYou

Yea but it wasn't him or his fans who made this political. It was all the dbags who freaked about a non American, which is absurdly funny on so many levels, who sings his songs in Spanish *****ing the bed that made this political. It's funny the uproar both sides are making over halftime shows. Not what I was speaking on. I know BB made a political statement at the Grammy's. I'm hoping he doesn't do the same at the SB. It's not even that I disagree with his opinion. At least not totally. But just do the show and leave it at that.Yea but it wasn't him or his fans who made this political.
