Bad Bunny

You know where I think the NFL misses the mark? It's not Bad Bunnie, or K Lamar, it's not bringing a fusion of genres together for a performance that transcends barriers. Give everyone something they want or can identify with. Isn't that supposed to be the strength of this nation? No matter the differences the common ground unifies us.

The Super Bowl halftime show doesn't have to be a symbol of "the strength of this nation" IMO, just a big and relevant act like they have now

Puerto Ricans are Americano and Americana Light. They don’t have a US income tax liability on their income earned in PR. But poor BB will have to pay FIT on his Super Bowl earnings. Maybe that’s why he’s mad at his country.

I think we missed a key point in this discussion.
There is now more than one definition who is "American".
There is the legal definition that most of us use and there is the definition which @Franklin Pierce was using.
When he said "Americans don't speak Spanish" he was obviously using the trumpian definition:.......
American:
1. most all white people (unless they are antifa or a transee)
and some non-whites if they have publicly shown and stated their pleasure with living in a white America.
2. people who are welcome to attend, or get near, the Super Bowl.
