In my neophyte opinion which is purely anecdotal, people watch the Superbowl for 1 of two reasons. And to define watch I don't mean just being at a party and the game being background noise but actually paying attention to the game. They either are football fans or wanting to watch the commercials. Yeah, I've been at SB parties where the women wanted to be told when it's halftime so they could watch that show but not a damn sole was there watching the game just for the HT show.
I agree that nobody is watching solely because of the HT show. However the NFL has made serious inroads with the demo that makes up the majority of his fans (they're watching the game or the commercials anyway), and said group is more likely to hang around the TV at halftime if he's performing.

No idea who this guy is, grant it I'm old and don't watch a guy who parades around in dresses or whatever his gig is.

Haven't really missed watching the NFL
I watched a little of the Bengals/Broncos game last night, and it just isn't all that exciting to me. I will enjoy college ball until it takes on the same vibe which probably isn't far off.

I have no doubt that they have done their research.

Most people have to gamble to be interested.
I have always said that if the Titans were smart; they would make sure to draft at least one Vol in each draft. Doesn’t have to be in the first or second round. But it would get some Saturday eyes to tune in on Sunday.
I still can’t believe they passed up Hendon for Levis 😳
