Yep... Some teams/ fans focus on winning and some worry about uniforms.

Ditch the greys. Stick with orange & white in whichever combo fits the bill and win games.

For those that defend the greys with recruiting...UT was 4-8 last season. Does it really matter?!

This gets my vote but I ask for a gray helmet. White helmet over the gray Jersey looks like a Q-tip.

So:
1) say unis don't matter and disparage those having the discussion in a thread about unis
2) then make a definitive statement on uni color
3) then defend that statement with another statement comparing two issues that aren't necessarily related. i.e. no talent has been recruited.


So, uni color doesn't matter until you say it does?

I think we can all agree that whatever they are wearing, we don’t mind as long as they are winning. He//, if they are doing better than last year, wearing cutoff jeans and bikinis, we would all Be making our way to the nearest Walmart to buy the same with numbers on them, as long as they had it orange.

Lol, he does that all the time, its that nasty EB wine he drinks. He's only concerned with being right, so, do you agree with each statement separately?

I wish they would let the players wear whatever color shoes they wish. White? Sure. Black? If it is what that player wants, yes. Orange? Why not?

Every color scheme looks good on the Vols running through the back of the opponents enzone.
This isn’t a fashion show, just win.

If I had a magic wand, I’d want us to wear Orange on White as our primary home uniform, White on Orange as our primary road uni, Orange on Orange for /every/ Bama game (both teams wear home gear), then pepper in the Stormtrooper look every now and then (perhaps forregular season non-conference games).

Oh, and black shoes all day.

I believe that the colors really don't matter, only real discussion is whether or not gray is acceptable. Personally I like it, but hey whatever CJP decides is good with me. They won't stop selling the smoky gray because Baseball uses it and fans like it.

No, I made my statement on color, don't care as long as they play big boy football (drew the line at jorts though).

Calling those out that claim that it's a recruiting tool, hell I don't know. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I think winning is a much better tool and if we are winning and improving and getting national attention, color combos will only matter to the fans, vendors, and off season thread gurus.

i really hate these kinds of posts. No one is saying that. This is a thread talking about uniforms. Your post adds nothing to discussion, except to make you feel smug. Same to the "who cares just WIN!" posters. We all want to go 15-0 every year, but you can't just derail every conversation with "just WIN"

I mean its the spring for God's sake, what do you want to talk about? just have 50 threads where everyone talks about how much they don't care about specifics and just want to win?

Personally I like orange on white at home with the occasional orange on orange. White on white on the road is my favorite road uni. I never really liked the white on orange.

I hope so. The white on white isn't bad but it definitely isn't my favorite. Any combination that includes orange is just right.
