Who do you associate with the TN vs Bama rivalry?

John Ward - "The kick is up and it's GOOOOD! With time out on the field, Tennessee ? and Alabama ?"
Keith Jackson and him saying A-la-ba-ma...

Was there...helped carry goal post down Cumberland Avenue...then worked a night shift at Family Fun Fair at the 1982 World's Fair...(I was late for my shift)
Is this a forum for old men? You guys are going way back. The young'uns don't know about that World's Fair. Those were the days. I heard the game on the radio from my room in Melrose Hall (yes, I was one of those). Almost went to the game, but decided not too. Worst mistake in college or one of them anyway.

'95.... Long TD passes by Peyton. Long TD run by Jay Graham. The end of the streak and the beginning of a new one.
1995 The last time I was at Legion field. Drank a few warm beers across the street. At the one room bar The Tide & The Tiger. Anyone remember that dump. Had porta potties set up out doors. A dollar a pop. Alabama at it's finest !

Alabama fans putting red dye in the fountains on campus. Tennessee fans helping a Bama family get their station wagon onto the road from the soft shoulder where they were stuck. The muddied fan pushing from behind announcing that it was time for a beer. How busy was the Copper Cellar, even when the Vols lost. Three moving vans being sent to Bill Battle’s house.

All we have are memories as this is not a rivalry at the present. It is just pretty damn sad.

seems like forever ago

I remember that so well. I was there and remember that place erupting when Foster went over the top for the go ahead score, but seeing the crowd and McBride on the sideline go nuts gets me hyped all over again.
