his wining about how the staff wasn't fair at UT and he wasn't going to get a real shot. IIRC he later backtracked after he cooled off but the damage was done.
geez I hope not
I thought there was something I didn't hear when all that happened. I just listened to the interview again. He said "in my opinion", stated how he felt, what he thought, thought they wanted to go in a different direction, etc. None of it was whining. It was his perception of the situation.
I don't recall any "damage" either.
(Hope this isn't coming off as arguing, just isn't much else to talk about right now. And everybody is being civil for a change!! Happy Valentine's Day!)
Whether or not he plays on Sundays is only one factor in the argument. Is he going to make more money in one year than most of us will in a lifetime? Yes. Would this money have been available if he were sitting on the bench at UT? No. The end. Crompton isn't playing on Sundays, but he still got a few mil.
Haters gonna hate.

nah not arguing just discussing.
If a TN kid leaves the program and tells all the media he isn't getting a fair shake from the coaches, they lied, etc then that can affect the program. He realized it after he calmed down and that kinda proved it to me.
He claimed to want to compete and win yet he had the opportunity and balked. Sure he did what he thought he needed to do but don't claim to be a competitor and then jet when you don't get your way.
After watching his short performance in the Vandy game I honestly didn't ever want to see him on the field again
Most ignorant and overused phrase used in today's message boards.
By me saying he will never see any meaningful time in the NFL doesn't make me a hater. By me saying he will be lucky to make a team doesn't make me a hater.
Coleman left way too early. He should have stayed tight through the fall...doors would've opened wide for him. He knew he was better than Stephens, and Simm's would've never stepped onto the field if Coleman had not been so impatient.BJ Coleman has been getting all kinds of love with the draft analysts lately...kinda makes you wonder, what if? What would've happened if Coleman had stayed at UT? Would Bray still be a household name in Knoxville, or would Coleman have taken the spotlight?
It's funny how guys are judged. How many games did Coleman play in like 2? He was a freshman & made mistakes like they all do but he sucked. On the flip side Bray sucked as a freshman but because he was a supposed big time recruit he was just taking his freshman lumps.
Read the first comment on this story...it states that Clawson made the comment in the April 24, 2009 Chattanooga paper. And that makes sense, because I oftentimes read the Chattanooga paper so I think I saw it there......(maybe?????)

He pretty much was outstanding.
On a side note don't you love that the same crowd calling Coleman a quiter are the ones saying Kiffin just did what was best for himself and his family.
