I have to say... last night our WRs were ready to make plays.

They were always open.

A couple of Jet sweeps to Tyler Byrd would have helped.

But i like what I saw from the limited amount of plays at wr.

Throw to set up the run, I say!

Gotta block to throw, got to have a more accurate QB to throw with damage. I do agree Though. I don't think the weak link was the Receivers at all

They looked good from what I saw. Dobbs running for his life and erratic made think it was 2014 again.

As long as Dobb's is the QB, any discussion of WRs is a waste of space. Dobb's is another RB who sometimes throws halfback passes.

Why some of y'all think he is not ready? Every big time program has a impact freshman..Tyler is more of a playmaker than Josh Smith.. My opinion.. Like one of the post I read give him jet sweeps..Wr screens anything to put the ball in his hands

Lol he hasn't even made a college football catch yet, not saying he won't be good but just chill a little bit. Josh smith is probably the most consistent catching receiver we have. Let's have a reason to bench Malone, Williams, or smith before calling for butchs head for not putting Tyler Byrd in

He wasn't needed last night, but his speed would be good against some of our stronger opponents. If he got some time on the field that would be good for his development.

Is pwilly going to be good to go for va tech? That first drive was impressive with him, composed went 70yards only thing is we didn't find the end zone. Now if we can do that, and add in more Dobbs designed runs and let him scramble, we will be good on offense

Malone was open all night and had what looked like 4-6 inches on the DB. From where I was sitting, you could see how open he was most of the time. It blows my mind it took that long for Dobbs to throw deep to him. I would have thought Debord would have noticed it and told Dobbs to go deep a lot earlier.

As I've always said. Dobbs knows who he is throwing to before the ball is snapped, that's why this happens time and time again.

Tom Brady knows who he is throwing to 90% of the time before he snaps the ball, and nobody can deny how well that works. The problem isn't deciding before the snap but making a poor pre snap read.

I'm sure Debord noticed it but probally doesn't trust Dobbs to deliver a strike.

A Tennessee receiver that plays a lot said last night that he is happy to just get on the field even if it is to just block 80% of the time. Also said blocking was what they focus on the most. I think we need to stretch the field at least 8 times a game just to keep a defense honest. I'll say one thing, a W is better than a L anyday!
