Coach the kids you have to make them the best they can be, no excuses. Love the mentality.

Absolutely a lot of truth to that and I'm sure all of their coaches know that as well. They just seem to be smart enough to not say it out loud. When nothing can come of it immediately you have to be a bonehead to say anything to destroy the moral of the guys you have. It's about the haves and not the have nots at the moment.

Career moves will drive most. If you are a staff coach and get the chance to move up to head coach or offensive or defensive coordinator, money may not be able to keep you on staff here.

I think he is correct. We played with them for a bit, we just need more of them. Quality depth is our problem, the players we have are fine in my opinion.

Be careful talking like that, people here will attack you for it. And please do not try to make a point about the depth isn't as big a deal some make it out to be. And do not question Heupel’s play calling.

I just found this quote from Garner about Banks. I think the quote above is coach speak and character. I am glad to have found it however, because I’m with you on this one.

Hard to believe they are considering Banks for the Broyles award and we are having this conversation at the same time. A little easier after reading the article. Top 10 in TFL. Still, I don’t see that qualifying him when our D has struggled.
