I love that attitude. I really hope that is the attitude the whole team has. I hope they're working their tails off to win the competition, but when or if they're beat, I hope that they recognize that there's something bigger than their statline.

I believe this will be his 9th season in the NFL. Obviously has done something right.

I personally think he should take an approach like Haynesworth, coming it and calling our senior lineman telling the O-lineman he would whip their ass and the D-linemen that he would take their job. Top 10 pick, highest payed defensive player at one point, now plays with arguably the best franchise in the league.

Sounds great, except that Daniel Hood is no Albert Haynesworth. So why in the world would he come in and say such things. And who are these 'senior lineman' you speak of?

I have noticed one thing for sure about not only Dooley and the coaches, but the entire team...they definitely subscribe to the addage of 'no one accomplishes anything except by the team'.

I am reminded of a statement that Johnny Majors made during the 1986 Sugar Bowl..."When nobody cares who gets the credit, then you have a chance to be a great team." I might have missed a word here or there, but that's what he said.

Yes, they were 8-1-2 during the regular season, but the team that took the field against the "Mighty Canes", and all their talent, was probably one of the best UT teams...on that day...to ever take the field.

If Dooley brings that attitude to this program, then great things will result.

My name ain't skippy there princess, and I don't do Red Bull. When I start seeing some snipers on this squad I'll join that attitude until then you take the humble approach and I'll take the Steve Kiner and Al Wilson approach.

Some of the responses in this thread are sad. Always looking for the downside. He said he would not be upset if he didn't see the field, as long as the team won. Doesn't mean he isn't going to bust his tail to be on the field...just that he wants the team to win more than he desires personal glory. If the whole team feels that way, they will get it done!
