We usually have a large spread of finger foods for Christmas and New Years. Sausage balls, rotel dips, etc. Looking for some new ideas.

Anyone have any cool dips or food ideas that you make?

Hot Artichoke Dip

1 14oz. can artichokes , rough chopped and drained
1 8oz. cream cheese - softened
1/2 c. Mayonnaise
1/2 c. sour cream
3/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1/2 t. garlic powder
Tabasco to taste

Wheat Thins

Lightly greased pan.

Combine all ingredients. Spread in pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes and bubbly. Serve with crackers.

Shrimp Dip is awesome too. I use chili sauce, cream cheese, and shrimp (canned is easiest and works great, just drain it.) Mix softened cream cheese, chili sauce and shrimp and serve with crackers.

dear lord please give me the recipe. i could live off anything buffalo chicken

This is very close to the recipe that we use, which is really good IMO. You can tweak the amount of hot sauce, Ranch and cheese that you use to suit taste. Seems to me that we use either a can of "Cream of chicken" or "cream of Mushroom", but I can't recall if we do or not.

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup ranch salad dressing (Hidden Valley my fav)

1/2 cup (or to taste) of Red Hot sauce or Buffalo sauce. (I like Franks Red-Hot)

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cans (12.5 oz. each) Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, or cook and shred your own chicken breasts

DIRECTIONS:

HEAT oven to 350°F. Place cream cheese into deep baking dish. Stir until smooth.

MIX in salad dressing, hot or buffalo sause and cheese. Stir in chicken.

BAKE 20 min. or until mixture is heated through; stir. Garnish as desired. Serve with crackers, tortilla chips or vegetables.

We also make a blackeyed pea salsa a lot for get togethers.

It's really easy, inexpensive and very tasty!
