Problem is Orange on pants doesn't match Orange on jerseys. If we are such a big deal to adidas as a "tier one" school that all adidas lovers say that we are, why can't they match?

As long as its a picture of our guys in the END ZONE like the pic above of Hardesty scoring a touchdown...I don't give a crap what we wear.
I like both looks, have no problem mixing it up.
Here's another thought....since the NCAA has changed the rules on jersey colors, why dont we wear orange jerseys/white pants all the time?! We can simply use the white jerseys (with whichever pants) when a pansy team won't allow us to wear the orange jersey.
Kinda like what LSU does with their white jerseys.
FWIW, Bama had this problem for years, except it was matching the helmet color.
At least this way it's not that noticeable (it takes a close-up in HD with good eyesight to spot the difference in color between pants and a number that aren't close to touching)
I can tell the difference big time, from the stands, with a naked eye. It's very noticeable. Even worse on the bball unis. I didn't mention helmets because that's just a material problem that almost all teams with colors have. Plastic vs. cloth. The color on the helmets actually do match but the reflection makes them appear different.

It's not really the same thing with LSU. Since their jerseys are white, they wear them to all the away games as the away white uniform, and at home they can force the opposition to wear colored uniforms with no issues.

They do match. The difference is not just the the material, but the shine that the material has under the lights. If you look closely on the orange-on-orange, the pants match the spandex panels on the jersey perfectly. But when you combine it with the mesh on the jersey that has a different level of reflection, it looks different, especially at night.
The other issue is the sweat factor. When the jerseys and pants get wet, the color changes ever so slightly, which also distorts it when seen from a distance.
Laid out flat on a table, the jerseys, numbers, pants, and helmet stripes are all the exact same color. But when you run out under the lights, they appear slightly different because of the reflections and how each material absorbs/reflects light.
I don't know of any school that doesn't have this problem when they go color on color.
