Away Games: White Pants/White Shirts or Orange Pants/White Shirt?

What uniforms do you prefer for Away Games?

Might be the lights though.

Its Jason Campbell's highlights from that game, but it shows UT on defense.



BTW, all Orange is a little much.

I do like the Orange pants on the away Jerseys, but I didn't like the tops back then.

those uniforms look awesome. they do look extra bright, probably just because we were in a dome with those bright lights (i'm talking about the SECCG, not the all orange unis)

I'm ready to declare victory.

Closer then I thought though. Never understood why several teams SEC have that all white away game look, Miss St., Bama, UT, Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn etc doesn't look that great and nothing unique when everybody does it.

A poll with the participation of less than 1% of the Volnation membership and less than .00001% of the UT fanbase is about as unrepresentative as it gets.

mississippi st. at least had a maroon helmet to go along with their away unis a few years ago. they should have stuck with those.

Please. I laugh at the way you invent competition after the outcome has already worked out in your favor. Regardless, I could care less what an internet poll says. When UT rolls into Cal this September, they'll be wearing white on white.

Guys, it won't matter about this poll. They will continue to wear white on white on the road until there is a new head coach. White on white looks better anyway. During the '92 season when Majors was out for his health was when Fulmer brought out the white on white against Georgia in Athens. We won. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, liked it. The minute Majors came back, they immediately went back to the orange pants. The only time they have worn orange pants since Fulmer has been head coach was the homecoming game in 1999. In fact, Majors only brought out white pants on the road once and it was against Alabama in Tuscaloosa and we almost won that game.

White on white looks better IMIHO

That was a different white on white. I loved the home and white on white uniforms in those days. White on white looked a whole lot better when we didn't have black trim and names. The orange #'s with the split white/orange trim looked a whole lot better. I wish we'd bring those uniforms back.

that looks better then waht we have now. I'm beginning to believe uniforms have regressed instead of gotten better.

Not true, vividly remember seeing the vols wear white/white vs Vandy in '82,of course we all know what happened that day.

I only hope for one away game with that jersey from the eighties. And if Hamilton wanted to really make me happy, they'd go with the orange pants! Yes. Alabama game?

does anyone else think that black on black would look good.... black pants with two orange stripes downt the leg...black jerseys with orange numbering and white outline?????

what about the sample size now? 40,000 people for orange pants. obviously the fans have come out in force to decide this.

i want the fat orange stripe on the helmet and THE BIG NUMBERS FROM THE MANNING DAYS and the national champ year!
