I like him better than Aidoo! Hate to lose him

Reading the tea leaves it sounds like it was awaka or aidoo. Not being pushed out or anything but both guys had to realize that minutes are going to get even more limited with Estrella’s development. Would’ve rather have kept awaka personally.

My thoughts as well. Feel like Awaka had so much upside with some more time and development (and a healthy increase in minutes).

Hate this one, it stings.

If this was really between Awaka or Aidoo. Aidoo is the clear choice. Sucks to lose Awaka though.

I think Estrella will be very good as well. I don't think it'll be a big drop off at all, particularly once Estrella has the whole offseason to get even stronger.

What the heck. Stars were aligned for him to be all SEC type player for us, if he could stay out of foul trouble. Well, it's clear now, we're going to have to be extremely aggressive in the portal. Going to be virtually an entirely new team next year, w/ exceptions of ZZ, Aidoo, etc...unless some other shoe drops. Hate that fans can't watch players develop over their careers w/ the same uniform.

Aidoo is too skinny but I love the way he plays. When Aidoo gets a stronger opponent he has a very hard time. Look to the Kansas, Purdue, m state and A&M games.

You guys need to chill out with the loyalty piece. Staff has been vocal about paving way for Estrella and it was him or Aidoo. This is more mutual than you “loyalty” folks think and he will 100% end up closer to the home.

At UT hoops summer camp, my boys got autographs from every player except Awaka and Dillione (they were at the U19 team). Now they're both in the portal.

JJJ, SV, JM, and JA are of a dying breed. 4 (or 5) year players in the NIL and unlimited transfer era. Maybe we luck out with Carr, Cade, and Estrella.
