AutoZone Liberty bowl

Any chance UT would have the courage to make a statement like Notre Dame did years ago by declining a meaningless lower level bowl game? I am sure that is not possible given SEC contracts etc BUT I for one would love to see them make that kind of decision especially if it means some CUSA or lower level ACC team beating us once again.

ND was just scared of another bowl loss.

Seriously though pulling out of an SEC bowl tie-in would not be a good idea for the conf.

We went to that bowl last year and it wasn't half bad. If yall face houston beware their coach is a gamblin genius and they got an offense. Just be glad they don't have first round draft pick kevin kolb anymore. They lost to us 44-36 last year and it was a heck of a game. They also lost to bama 31-24 so don't underestimate them. Hopefully you can get into a newyears bowl but if the vols lose this weekend than that is all but down the drain.
