Not positive, but I think you can take a regular redshirt in any year. You just have to not play that year.

Not my decision, but I'd only burn Worley's redshirt if bowl eligibility were at stake. In other words, only if he was needed to win against MTSU, Vandy, or Kentucky. I suppose there would be other scenarios, but burning his redshirt isn't the end of the world.

Were still not sure Worley could come in and perform and get us a W against one of those teams. If your talking the instance that Simms was down, then yes, I agree.

We have to make a bowl again. We can not regress. That would be bad for Dooley.

Yes, if Simms went down. I think Simms' knowledge of the offense makes him a better option than Worley, but the coaches would know that far better than me.

He got destroyed last year and never complained a bit..lost his starting job to a Freshman and quietly went about his business.

We really need to support him..I know he's not the best, but he'll lay it all on the line for Tennessee and there's not much more you can ask from him.

Just concerned about the redshirt.
I'm not saying Nance is a better option, just hadn't imagined it coming to this.

Honestly, I'm hoping for the best out of Simms. Who knows... he could get in there and fire 4 TD's in the first half.
Stranger things have happened!

Simms went from sipping Gatorade one second to ice cold, clutch throws the next. That shocked me. He gets props, my support, and a chance to do what 99% of us do not think is possible

We can hope and pray our OL comes together, finally, and protects our QB. I know that's asking for a true miracle. But, miracles do happen!! Now where's that Jack Daniels. And pray for Simms, Worley and Nash.

Similar story more recently was Rick Clausen coming in to lead UT to a come from behind win at LSU and leading Tennessee to the SEC championship game.

Simms has my support FWIW.. Just seeing the little he did in the UGA game I could tell he has come a long way since last year.

we just need to scrape together some semblance of a run game to help him out..

everybody will be shocked if we win and it'll be we shoulda stuck it out with Simms. And I hope he does!!!!
